Advantages: Price
Disadvantages: Lost luggage, CDG bad airport, Rude service
I travelled my honeymoon with long route on AF going from Jeddah-Paris-Vienna-Paris-Barcelona-Paris-Jeddah. I passed by CDG airport at Paris three times, two of them as a transit passenger. I think they have a huge problem in the electronic arrangement for transit flights. We reached Vienna, but our luggage got delayed. When I went into the lost luggage office at Vienna airport, I found long line of transit passengers from AF. We got our luggage late night to our hotel. When I came back, passing on Paris as a transit for the second time, as I feared, we lost our buggage again. The buggage came back two days later on. We went to Barcelona to take a cruise from there, and we met two other couples who lost their luggage on AF. The food was really low quality in most of the flights. Well, price was very reasonable, but I would not take it knowing all the hassle that I would suffer. Adding to this, the flight attendant made very rude comment to my wife. We thought of writing a report and give it to her manager. We didnt do, but when we found our luggage lost, we really regreted that. Another very good reason not to fly on AF is to avoid CDG airport. You have to run from terminal to terminal by shuttle buses, making your transit connection a nightmare. I been to many airports in Europe, USA, Asia, Middle East, and the worst of them all was CDG. Anyhow, to fly one destination, may be AF can be just okey especially their price is somehow reasonable. But, to fly with AF as a transit, YOU BETTER BE PREPARED TO LOSE THEM ON THE TRANSIT CONNECTION. Waleed

- 21/07/02 Not my favourite airline either. I have to deal with a lot of complaints about them at work. |

- 18/07/02 Hello, and welcome to Dooyoo :-)
Absolutely unforgiveable to insult your wife, and perhaps you might write about it even now. As for CDG... has *anyone* enjoyed themselves there? |
