I don't recommend Air India anyone. It's the worst airline I ever saw. They often change the schedule and don't care if you are not informed about it. Air India can't work with passengers. They close their gates too early and serviceman are never available after the counter is closed. Air India often deny their passengers. I will never book a flight with Air India.

Truly miserable experience. Pre-flight service was a bad start... had my flight destination changed and the flight number changed. Got an email about this which was not clear so tried to call the customer service number... didn't work for the week prior to my flight. Used the online 'form' to email customer services.... no reply!! With ...

The general perception about Air India is that it is one of the horrible carriers, with ugly looking air hostesses serving food with bad attitude. This perception is completely wrong. Actually, entire system is rotten. Starting from over booking, checkin, service and condition of aircraft. I managed to fly with them 4 times from London to Bombay ...

Air India - quite simply never again! I had a bad experience with Air India 12 years ago. Our flight from LHR to BOM had been delayed by 4 hours and as a result we missed our train to Auragabad - and Air India staff were generally no where to be seen despite promises that they would help from the staff at LHR. Anyway, 12 years later, in ...

What a nightmare to (try to) fly Air India from Frankfurt to Los Angeles on March 1, 2008. The "40 minute repair problem" turned into a 180 minute problem and eventually, the flight was canceled. Passengers were booked into a Frankfurt hotel and promised to be flown to LAX the next day. Wishful thinking: the plane was grounded. The info flow to passengers was sub-zero. No AI represenative was seen, neither on 2/29 nor on 3/1.
Questions to Air India in Mumbai about the refund procedure for the unused airfare have to date not been answered.
In the future: Air India - no thanks.

I flew by air India from Heathrow to Delhi return. Outward, the flight was delayed by four hours at Healthrow airport. The food was very good. Boarding was bit chaotic, all passengers rushed to board. Instead the staff could have boarded passengers according to seat numbers. This meant that within the plane there were people looking for thier ...

A BIT ABOUT AI (INCORPORATING IA) Air India (AI) is the only state-owned airline of India which merged with Indian Airlines (IA) in September 2007. I don't know what people complain about, I flew Air India JFK-LHR for £120 and it was fine. Just like any other major airline, the flight was delayed, the food was average but you get that on BA and pay twice the price! I would definitely fly with Air India again.

I flew with Air India Economy Class last week from Los Angeles to Frankfurt. Arriving at the check-in desk at LAX, the desk opened earlier than expected. The staff at the desk was friendly and efficient. The airplane was an old 747. I read in their magazine that they are currently upgrading the interior in these planes, but this ...

My flight on Air India was nice. I flew to India for sightseeing and I was excited at the thought of the trip even before leaving for India. Therefore, the atmosphere of Air India was great because I could feel like I had already been in India. In the airplane, I was able to enjoy Indian traditional and pop music and Indian modern films. Above ...

I and a friend were to end our trip to India with AI137 from Delhi to Frankfurt on 9/24/05. Of course there were also hundreds more passengers, Indians, Germans, Italians, Swiss and Belgian. The flight was supposed to take off at 7:30am. After sitting in the jet a while the pilot let on that there was a problem with the brakes and he would not fly ...

I travelled with Air India in 2003 from London to New York. Check in was relatively uneventful and quick. Once my husband and I boarded we sat in our seats waiting for take off. My husband's seat was faulty in that it would not go into the upright position fully. We contacted a steward, who asked us to wait and see if the plane was full ...

A small episode inside our national carrier, Air India (AI). I will not be much critical as after all it is our national carrier, but still a bit of introduction before coming to the incident. AI is always treated as the last option amongst all the fellow Indian colleagues I have come across while working outside the country. In fact, if ever yr ...

My trip on Air India was a little daunting. I travelled from london Heathrow to New York on the 1st September and paid £286 return. I found this really cheap and was nearly £200 less than the new closest airline. I had my resvervations about travelling with an airline like this. For the most part the people on board were transit ...

Once again I am writing about the past. But flying with Air India is the best flight I ever had. I have flown with other air services before like Virgin, BA, but for me it has to be Air India that cums on top also being the cheapest of the three. (But I have to say I was dame scared when I seen like a clan of Indians drop down and started to pray ...
