Skilled pilots, terrible crew (Air Malta)

Advantages: Very safe feeling and comfortable seats.

Disadvantages: Miserable cabin crew without exception

As a nervous flyer anyway, I have to say that I was sceptical about going on what was a smaller plane than I had ever been on before. This was a very much up and down experience, quite literally as terrible conditions led to air pockets and turbulance on our return flight. This was handled perfectly by the pilots and that was perhaps the most impressive part of the whole Air Malta experience. Myself and my partner were flying out to get married (see profile pic) and we were obviously very excited, but unfortunately this was tainted by the thoroughly miserable cabin crew who, when we tried to enter into some banter, were bordering on rude. There were no complimentary honeymoon drinks for us on the return. This is something we were promised on our outbound flight. Generally, the service was OK, it was just the crew attitude that was the main problem. I won't be using them again.

Summary: An airline you can trust, but not be entertained by.
