Advantages: Extremely comfortable in business class on the new Air bus
Disadvantages: Ghastly on old airbus.
We travelled on Air Mauritius from CDG on one of the new Airbus's in business class. There was no ordered boarding of the plane which was a bit chaotic to say the least.
The seats were extremely comfortable and we were able to lie down nearly flat albeit at an angle. There was ample leg room the only draw back was that the screen monitor did not work in my seat but the choice of films were not particularly impressive anyway so i was not too bothered.
The cabin crew were extremely friendly and saw to our needs in a polite, efficient and courteous manner. The food was a bit weird in that they were trying to impress too hard and the combinations of flavours did not work. The interior decor in business class is a weird orange colour seemingly ordered by somone who had been tripping out on speed!! I thought this trip was fantastic and couldnt get over how comfortable it was.
The return trip was in complete contrast to the outward trip as it was on an older plane with ghastly seats and inadequate leg room and comfort. It was among the most uncomfortable business class seats I have ever flown in. The flight was packed and very busy and in fact did not feel like we were sitting in business class at all. The food again was of similar quality as on the in bound flight.
I would fly with Air Mauritius again on the newer airbus but never again on the older ones which let Air Mauritius down.
Summary: So so airline mediocre.
