Air Pacific

My flight to Fiji, with Air Pacific, from Auckland New Zealand, last summer was OK, I would not rate it as highly as I do the country or the people. Whom may I add are some of the friendliest people you will meet. The journey was not great, quite bumpy, and there was a period of time towards the end of the flight where it felt like the plane had stopped and we were just suspended in the air, this was rather frightening. Also the in flight entertainment was rubbish, it was on one big screen in the middle of the plane, bad quality, and extremely old, if I am honest I can not even tell you what it was. Air Pacific is possibly the jolliest airline I have ever flown with. We flew from Nadi in Fiji to Auckland in New Zealand, and having been in Fiji for the last 9 days we knew by now that the Fijian people were the happiest and the loveliest people ever. They all welcomed us on to the flight, but it was a genuine welcome, not the false smile and attempt of a cheery hello you get on so many airlines nowadays. Even their uniform was jolly, with the typical Fijian flowery pattern. The seats weren't the comfiest, but their service made up for it, and as it was only a three hour flight it didn't matter much anyway. We flew AIR PACIFIC for the first time in September last year. As a very nervous traveller I am reluctant to travel on new airlines or ones that are not very well known. I must say I was pleasantly surprised when we boarded in New Zealand to be on an aircraft that was nearly brand new. This helps my fear of flying a little. The service on board was lovely and the staff went out of their way to be helpful. The second leg of our journey was a long overnight flight from Fiji to LA.
