Advantages: cheap and cheerful

Disadvantages: there are stil lcheaper ways to travel asia!

During my 3 months travelling around South East Asia I used Air Asia about 7 times, receiving good service each time. I always booked my flights via the website www.airasia.com, which is a very easy website to use. Simply pick the country you are wanting to leave from and it automatically gives you the destinations that you can fly to from that country. Fill in the other details, dates, number of passenger, make sure you have ticked either one way or return, then click on search. The flights available will be displayed. If you are flexible with the date and time of your travel, use those buttons on the screen to help you find the cheapest flight. It's as simple as that. Generally if you go for an off peak flight the flights are cheaper, but in the main Air Asia have some really good deals anyway. Also be aware that if you chose a bigger baggage allowance the cost will go up.

After you have booked your first flight on the website, your details will be automatically saved, making it even quicker and easier for the other times. We also found that if you aren't too organised and want to book a ticket for a few days time you can. But I suppose this is to do with availability.

The air hostesses and airport staff are very nice. I was travelling with them when I was unfortunately on crutches, they spotted the crutches and asked if I required assistance, I said now at first but they persuaded me to let them get me a wheelchair as it was a long way to the gate from check in. Very helpful!

Summary: I found this airline very easy to use, always the cheapest of the asian airlines!
