Disadvantages: Running on fumes

No we all know that aviation fuel is not petrol or deisel. But what it is, is Kerosene.
Kerosene comes form the refineries the same as the petrol does. Because of this, Airlines will be unable to refuel on landing in the uk. This could be bad because the airlines will take their planes to other countries to refuel thus losing the UK suppliers money.
This will have a knock on effect against holidays and holiday makers who will be looking forward to jetting off abroad, only to find thier planes cancelled. The government last night warned that UK airports will be running out within the next 24 hours as well as the road garages.
Isnt it time that the prices came down so that lives and holidays are not jepoardised??

Yesterday they closed Glasgow & East Midlands airport, Luton & Stanstead will be next if it continues. Its not much fun being a travel agent while this is going on, trying to calm people down on the phone!
Lets hope its over soon..

Most major airports are supplied by pipeline. The regional ones aren't though so they will suffer soon. I agree with your final sentence.
