I flew with Airtours last year and I can honestly say ive had better experiences! I booked my flight through teletext and I got a cheapish fare to Las Palmas with my dad. We got to Gatwick about 3 hours prior to our flight and we checked in fine. When we boarded the aircraft I was very pleased to find it very clean and modern (Airbus A320). Now why cant Airtours operate a service that actually leaves on time for once! we left about an hour late and the captain made some excuse about delays in Madeira! Then some old lady decided she didnt want to fly and we had to wait for her bags to be taken off (not airtours fault). But what really lets Airtours down is the legroom. Now i am 6"1 and I could hardly get into the seat let alone sit in it for four and a half hours! My knees were up against the seat-back tray for most of the flight. The food was awful too, I know Airtours dont make the food but cant they hire a better catering company?! the crew were quite friendly and barely looked like they had left school but were still very good and attentive. Also the inflight entertainment was very good.

We arrived in Las Palmas late as expected and I was glad my short experience of Airtours was over, well at least for another 14 days!!!
