Advantages: It went to where I need to go
Disadvantages: oh, you will hear them all
Hello, I just flew from New York City to Sofiya Bulgaria and back on Alitalia and it had to be the worst travel experience that I have ever had. I spent a whole lot of money to be treated poorly.
First off you know how when you get on the plane they have all these newspapers laying in a basket? Well on this airline every last one of them except two are in Mexican. I did not like that at all. I can't read that.
Second they beat my luggage to death. Both of my suitcases were mangled by these people. I honestly thought that maybe they got left behind somewhere and a bombsquad came and blew them up.
Third the food was awful. You can buy better TV dinners at Aldi's than what these meals were. I can't even guess what it was. I could chose between chicken and fish but that doesn't sort it out. Some nasty salad....I don't even want to remmeber it so I will stop now.
Fourth my TV was busted on the way back and I could not watch the stupid lame three year old movies (Elf in November 2005????WTF????) Nor could I play the trivia game. I have a real joy when I crush all the people in Trivia matches since on other planes they can see the seat number of the champs and people look over and see that some geezer with a foot long beard and tattoos on his head is smarter than them. I could have cleaned up being that the people were all talking Mexican on this plane anyways.
Fifth they cut me off the booze way before I got unruly. My mate works for the airlines, a nice one, and he tells me all the crap they are pulling to save weight and one of them is to not have any selection of booze. The beer they gave me was mexican too. But I did get Grappa. On the way back they did not even have wine for the lunches. I needed booze more than ever as all these old people on the way back from a group tour thought that they were in a stand cafe not an airplane and were milling around socialising the whole flight.
Sixth the free inflight magazine was no good at all, I won't even bother to say what language half of it was in.
Seventh, we didn't get a drink prior to lunch on the way back and once the lunch was served I think the entire crew parachuted off the plane because I didn't see them at all again. They hid in the back and to get a drink you have to squeeze yourself through the whole plane and go to the back to get a small cup of coca-cola from a self serve stand.
The worst thing is what they did to my flight on the way home, they chose to delay us for two hours to wait for another plane with 60 passengers on it to arrive from Baloney. We had to sit and wait in the terminal for this other plane and many people missed their connections in NYC for this. Their feeble attempt to appease us was to give us some boarding pass looking thing that we could exchange for a sandwich or slice and a small drink. That is what two hours of my time is worth to these people, a sandwich and a cup of pop. I am glad my employer considers my time more valuable.
Another bad thing is that the flight crew was simply ugly, I understand that it probaly takes seniority to get a good route like this so all the old and worn out workers get it, but somehow the lufthansa and KLM planes always have a few hotties on them. I can at least waste the 8 hours daydreaming about joining the mile high club with them.
The only good thing about the flight was they had damn good music in the earphone thingies and they did not charge for earphones.
Summary: They are no good

- 17/11/07 Dear Reviewer,
Please take this chance to make the world a little bit better for
service customers everywhere while earning a £10 Amazon gift voucher in the process!
To explain: Having recently completed my Master of Science in Marketing degree at Manchester Business School (UK) by writing a dissertation about online reviews, I have been asked by the school to continue my academic research.
As a result, I am looking to interview additional online reviewers who are willing to talk to me about their experiences. To be eligible to participate, you would need to fulfil the following requirements:
1) You must have had a particularly negative service (not product!) experience, for example during airline travel, a hotel stay, car repair, etc.
2) You must have written and published an online review about this experience
If you fulfil these requirements, I would like to talk to you, ideally via Internet chat (you may choose the medium, AOL/Windows messenger, Skype etc.). The interview would take no more than 1 hour, and very likely less than that. We could arrange and/or split sessions at your convenience. Naturally, all data provided by you would be treated with confidentiality and you would remain anonymous.
Based on the analysis of the interviews, advice will be given to companies
on how to improve customer service and on how to deal with dissatisfied service customers. Therefore, by contributing to my research YOU can help make the world a little bit better for service customers everywhere!
On top of that, Manchester Business School would provide you with a £10 Amazon gift voucher as a sign of appreciation for your efforts.
Please note that although the review platform operator has given me permission to contact its members (i.e. you), my research is not actively supported or condoned by the latter. Participation is completely voluntary.
Due to my approach in contacting potential respondents, you MAY receive this message more than once. This is regrettable, but unavoidable, and I would like to take the opportunity to apologise for this in advance.
If you feel you fulfil the set requirements and are willing to participate, please contact me at your earliest convenience at morian@gmx.net or marc-philip.morian@mbs.ac .uk . Please make sure to include a link to your respective review(s) in your response.
Many thanks in advance!
Kind regards,
Marc Morian |
