Cheap but you get what you pay for (Alitalia)

Despite the worries about my flight being cancelled because of the threat of Alitalia going bust, it was saved at the last minute and thank god it still ran!

However, I was really disappointed with the service received. I know they are struggling for money, but there are ways of still providing a service for a lower fee (EasyJet manage it!). I thought that being breakfast time (6am!), there might be some tea or coffee on board, but no such luck...it was water or juice and only a tiny cupful on the whole flight (so I sat there desperately thirsty for three hours). When my boyfriend asked if he could pay for coffee the steward looked at him as if he were stupid.

The staff were miserable, but I must admit I really felt sorry for them, they were obviously overworked and stressed out. The flight was very bumpy, the seats were small and uncomfortable and the cabin itself was hot and stuffy. I definitely would not recommend flying with this airline!

Summary: Fly with someone else!
