OK so let me start by being up front here in the fact it is quite some years since I flew with American Airlines but I still remember the experience with them and I wanted to share what I had gone through with them. I was flying over to see my family for the second time who stay in Mississippi and was flying out from Glasgow so I already knew ... Read the complete review

A few months back, the wife booked us a trip to New York, flying with American Airlines. Never flown with them before and no idea if they were any good, I checked Dooyoo for reviews of them. It was not good reading. I never found a good one about them and was so worried about flying with them, that we tried to change companies to BA, but would ... Read the complete review

We used American Airlines for a recent shot break to New York flying out of Heathrow. I have to say that I expected better from a flagship airline that carries the national flag of a country where customer service within most companies is very improtant, certainly American Airlines ranks rather poorly when compared with both of the UK carriers ... We flew man-heathrow-boston and then back again in May Well, the good points are that we got there and they even managed to bring us back!!! Turbulence free flights both ways......yay Other plus points...I got the window seat and they serve full sized cans of pop. Not so good points Inflight ... Read the complete review

I went to Los Angeles last year from Manchester via Chicago. Lets just say the only positives are it is cheap and you can sit down on a seat (rather than standing lol). Check in sad they were experiencing delays so we had a 2 hours wait. When we eventually boarded the plane i was shocked at how little leg room there was, no tv and very ... Read the complete review

I used American Airlines on a return flight to Logan airport, in chicago from Birmingham International UK. Naturally, for an apparent 'flagship' outfit, one would expect the level of service and comfort to be beyond reproach. That proved not to be the case. I found AA to be somewhat indifferent and not very responsive to the needs of ... Read the complete review

Hmm, difficult one for me this. I used to be a big fan of AA, having flown direct Heathrow to Manhattan with them in late 2007. That flight was a real pleasure - on time, pleasant cabin crew, modern airliner. Then in summer 2008 myself and a bunch of pals took them from Stansted to the US on a road tour, going first to St Louis to visit relatives ... Read the complete review

After flying by first choice to palma and having a terrible experience, we decided when we booked to go to New York we would fly with a better airline. I cannot fault American Airlines we were asked if we would like a window seat when booking our tickets which is always nice to have the option. Once boarded onto the plane we were given a ... We didn't really choose to fly with American Airlines on our trip to Las Vegas in April. We had points on our Qantas frequent flyer membership, though, and when we selected the flight times we wanted, we discovered that the flights were operated by AA as part of the OneWorld group. Having now had the experience of flying with American, I would ... Read the complete review

My other half and I flew Amerian Airlines when we went to America last year. I had never flown American Airlines to America, we usually fly Virgin or United Airlines. The reason i decided to fly American Airlines was the cost of the flights. I booked the tickets to Boston in September time, and cost £660 for 2 return tickets in economy class, ... American Airlines is Awful. I will never ever ever fly American again after the last time we used them to fly my boyfriend's 13 year old sister in from Oklahoma to Nashville. The flight to us was just fine, there were no changes in the fees that my boyfriend paid for, however, when we brought her back to the airport to take her flight home, the ... We flew with AA again after a few years taking my daughter to Las Vegas Via DAllas for her 21st. It was supposed to be a special and exciting trip but AA let us down. Check in at Gatwick was superb great baggage allowance but then it went down hill from there. The plane was full and our assigned seats were in the middle of the plane. ... Read the complete review

I have recently flown trans-atlantic with American Airlines, and it was the worst flying experience I have ever had. I should have known as soon as I got to Heathrow! We had E-tickets so we could save time by doing a self-check-in. When we got there, all the self check in machines were cordoned off. I asked an AA member of staff whether ... Have flown with American Airlines for several internal flights within America. Cabin crew have always been helpful. Ground staff have ensured a smooth pre-board and speedily return of my wheelchair at the end of each flight. One connecting flight was delayed, due to weather conditions and I had requested my wheelchair went straight through, this ... Read the complete review

I have lost count of the exact number of times I have flown with American Airlines but nearly always the trip has been between London and New York. In the last few years I have certainly taken four flights in economy class and many more than this in business class, being as it was the preferred carrier of a previous employer. I am also a gold ... Read the complete review

SUMMERTIME is the busiest part of the year. To have an enjoyable summer vacation requires advance planning. Part of this planning is the selection of the destination where to spend the holiday and most importantly what airline/air carrier to travel with. Even though I am a frequent flyer, I still have this dilemma of having a slow ... Read the complete review

There was a point when over three months I flew a total of eight flight legs, both trans-Atlantic and US-domestic, on American Airlines. I think you might agree with me that after this extensive experience, I now have sufficient fodder to allow me to forward to you my opinion of this particular airline. First of all, I bet you’re ... They say "more room" and they mean it! American Airlines has "more room" as their motto. Having travelled with them I would definately agree that they have now made it so that you do have a lot more room. I suppose that AA make most of there money from us UK residents by flying us to New York. I believe they do something like 4 daily flights to New York with the first at 8:30am and the last being something like 9pm at night. If like me you want to do a 3 night trip I recommend that you take the 8:30am flight on Saturday morning which gets ... Read the complete review
