Thai Airways:
... experience of Thai Airways ( Pure Silk , as the slogan would have it) is from an internal flight only perspective, so my review might seem a bit limited. Apologies in advance. I ve used Thai 4 times on internal flights to and from Bangkok to Chiang Mai, which is about 3 hundred miles north of Bangkok, to attend conferences. Naturally I had to get to Bangkok first to take a connecting flight. The check-in staff a... Read the full review: Smiles as big as airmiles by doctordarke2389 |

Thai Airways ... travelled on Thai Airways to Thailand on my Honeymoon. We flew from London Heathrow to Bangkok. The seats were of standard size, though I was a little disappointed that there weren t screens on the back of the chairs, but just one screen above the seats every third row. As the flight was around 12 hours, I was looking forward to watching a couple of movies, but the lack of good films made me have to seek out my own entertainment-I managed to read two books and play endlessly on my Nintendo DS. I would suggest taking some form of entertainment with you for this long flight. I was, however, impressed by the service and standard of food on the flight. You are given a menu... Thai Airways ... booked to fly with Thai airways through there own website (thaiair.com) the flights were not too badly priced considering the staff were so helpful. We flew from London to Bangkok, and despite the flight being long and us all travelling with terrible hangovers (from a heavy night out in London!) the flight was smooth and every body was very well looked after - especially for an economy class flight. The flight was only 90% full, which may have helped to make it easier for the staff to keep up. The younger hostesses are much chirpier and smiley and some are very attractive - which often keeps some people amused! The food was pretty good - for airplane food. The air hos... Thai Airways ... flew with Thai Airways when I went to Thailand last year and overall there experience was very good. I flew out from Heathrow to Bangkok and the flight was ok, the only complaints were maybe the leg room and the TV screens were not the best, apart from this the service they offered was excellent, one of the best things about them was how friendly and helpful the cabin crew were, always on hand to help with any request, the food was ok, as good as you can expect from plane food! Once we got to Bangkok the disembarking of the plane was quick and the baggage was ready very speedily. After spending a couple of days in Bangkok I took another flight with them to Phuket, th...
