Advantages: Hot meals

Disadvantages: No organisation of passengers, very untidy staff, Poor inflight entertainment

I have flown with Brittania Airways once which was June last year, and the only reason why I flew with them was because I was a shareholder with Thomson Holidays.

As soon as I got onto the plane (I think it was a boeing 747 (the big plane) I knew that I was not going to enjoy the flight. The staff were panicing, they looked untidy, and some were short tempered. The flight was slightly late departing by a few mins, passengers still walking about just before take off, and there was no control by staff to calm passengers. The staff looked very stressed, and as if they have done a double shift.

The inflight entertainment was normal tv, so I got fed up with adverts all the time, and everyday tv programmes unlike with rivals like airtours where they put on the lastest film.

The music on board was of poor quality and some of the head phones did not even work. If they did, it was only working on one side of the head phones.

All I wanted to do is relax and chill out for when I got to the destination. I could not even do that. When the meals or drink came round, the meal trolleys hit me with the staff not even appologising and the distribution of drinks were in no order in giving out, with the staff talking quite, so if you were looking the other way, then you missed out on the round of drinks. The food was although of an adequate standard, and was still hot. The drinks trolley was expensive I thought, and therefore I could see why no-one bought anything.

The flight was quite smooth thought, but on this occasion my ears hurt me, and I dont normanly suffer. A factor of this could have been that it was a big plane.

Both times on the way there and on the way back, there was enough leg room, but this was only due to me being allocated next to the emergency exit or at the very front on the front row and in the middle of the plane.

Overal I would not use them again in such a rush and I would rather stay with Airto
urs.

Dear Reviewer,

Please take this chance to make the world a little bit better for
service customers everywhere while earning a £10 Amazon gift voucher in the process!

To explain: Having recently completed my Master of Science in Marketing degree at Manchester Business School (UK) by writing a dissertation about online reviews, I have been asked by the school to continue my academic research.

As a result, I am looking to interview additional online reviewers who are willing to talk to me about their experiences. To be eligible to participate, you would need to fulfil the following requirements:

1) You must have had a particularly negative service (not product!) experience, for example during airline travel, a hotel stay, car repair, etc.

2) You must have written and published an online review about this experience

If you fulfil these requirements, I would like to talk to you, ideally via Internet chat (you may choose the medium, AOL/Windows messenger, Skype etc.). The interview would take no more than 1 hour, and very likely less than that. We could arrange and/or split sessions at your convenience. Naturally, all data provided by you would be treated with confidentiality and you would remain anonymous.

Based on the analysis of the interviews, advice will be given to companies
on how to improve customer service and on how to deal with dissatisfied service customers. Therefore, by contributing to my research YOU can help make the world a little bit better for service customers everywhere!

On top of that, Manchester Business School would provide you with a £10 Amazon gift voucher as a sign of appreciation for your efforts.

Please note that although the review platform operator has given me permission to contact its members (i.e. you), my research is not actively supported or condoned by the latter. Participation is completely voluntary.

Due to my approach in contacting potential respondents, you MAY receive this message more than once. This is regrettable, but unavoidable, and I would like to take the opportunity to apologise for this in advance.

If you feel you fulfil the set requirements and are willing to participate, please contact me at your earliest convenience at morian@gmx.net or marc-philip.morian@mbs.ac .uk . Please make sure to include a link to your respective review(s) in your response.

Many thanks in advance!

Kind regards,
Marc Morian

On my last comment I missed out a point. They also operate the B737 planes the ones operated by bmibaby and easyjet(easyjet will soon use the A319)

Good op
Britannia does not operate the B747 aircraft as they are jumbo jets. They operate the fairly long B757 which holds 235 passengers and the B767 which can hold from 285 seats to 335 seats(something like that), some vary though. B747 are the planes with 2 floors(decks)
Good op though
