British Airways in general

Newest Review: ... great. I was treated very well, and even though I use a wheelchair, nothing was too much trouble. The flight itself was not so good. This was not due to BA itself, but the plane fell several feet in a few seconds, and everything in the cabin went all over the place! It was rather scary, but the staff did a very good job of keeping us informed, and the plane landed safely on time. One of the poor cabin crew was slightly hurt by the incident, and had to sit out the rest of the flight, which made the service a bit slower, but this was no ones fault! My wheelchair and luggage, arrived well, and the staff were extremely helpful in getting me ou... more

I have only used British Airways once before, but I have to say that the service was outstanding. I flew from London Gatwick to Inverness, and the staff were great. I am currently in Hong Kong! I flew here from Heathrow terminal 5 with British airways. I havent flown long haul since I was 10 so wasnt really looking forward to the 12 hour flight. I received emails from BA after making the booking, inviting me to make special food requests and to inform me that I could check in online. 24 hours before my flight I checked in online, I also chose my seat for no extra cost. I chose to sit on top of the wing, in the aisle. I then dropped my bag off at the drop in point in heathrow a few hours before my flight. My luggage got there safe and nothing was damaged. The flight itself was fairly boring, I ...  Read the complete review

I generally fly longhaul once or twice a year and have always been back and forth between BA and Virgin depending on who had the better price at the time. I flew BA last year to New York and this year to LA. Both had good and bad points. I find BA to be quite a mixed bag to be honest, sometimes they are impeccable sometimes it's like they couldn't care less. Their website is fairly easy to book flights. If you are flying longhaul to America you must include a Saturday night otherwise the fares are an absolute fortune (over £1000 sometimes). For long haul they have a fairly good system of pricing so it's easy to see how much things cost. You have a variation of ...  Read the complete review

I travel regularly with my Job and find myself spending more time in airports, standing at check in lines, boarding planes and waiting for my luggage than I do with my family, so I thought I could comment on my journey giving an indication on the kind of service you may come across on your own travels. I travel regularly to Seattle from London Heathrow a flight time of nine to ten hours each way. my review will comment on my most recent journey which took place on Wednesday the 2nd of September. The ticket was purchased the week before by our travel department through the website and the e ticket arrived in my inbox within the stipulated ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review British Airways in general: National flag carrier a bit tight on space (589 words)

British Airways is the national flag carrier of the UK and a major player worldwide as well, serving airports globally. The planes have half the British flag emblazoned on their fin tail. I've been with British Airways for two years now and have been flying only on international long-haul routes in World Traveller and World Traveller Plus cabins, so can't tell you too much about their higher classes. British Airways has both airport and online check-in systems as most other major airlines. Usually, online check-in ensures you get the seat you want, including emergency exit seats, but using online check-in mean that you normally cannot get a seat ...  Read the complete review
