Don't believe the bad press (British Airways in general)

Advantages: Good service

Disadvantages: One flight was a bit messy

British Airways often get a bad press in this country but as the nations biggest airline and quite possibly the worlds I guess you are always going to be a target for some people and also the more flights you have and passengers you carry then the more chance you have to upset someone.

From my own personal experience I have flown British Airways three times, twice on long haul flights to New York and once on a short haul to Lisobon and every time I have flown with them I have been impressed with the service that I received while on the fight and also at the check in stage.

If I have one criticism it would be that on one occasion with the outward bound part of the flight to New York the plane was not as tidy as I would expect it to be, things like the magazines were ripped and tatty however the biggest concern was the state of some of the toilets even at the start of the flight they were messy and not very pleasant, I do think it was an old plane because some of the seats looked like they had seen better days but in my experience this was only one occasion.

I found my flights to be punctual, the food was pretty standard but the drinks were free and the inflight entertainment was good so for me it is definately a carrier I would not hesitate to use in the future.
