Flying with BA is pain free. (British Airways in general)

Advantages: Online check-in, customer service, entertainment system on board, free winter sports baggage.

Disadvantages: Sometimes can be fairly expensive when compared with other companies.

I recently traveled with BA, leaving Heathrow bound for Beijing. I used the online check-in system which can be found by visiting www.ba.com at least 24 hours before your flight. It is a quick process which not only reduces stress on arrival at the airport, it also allows you to choose your seat! This mean you can ensure you bank that isle seat for a long haul flight, or a window seat if interested (although more importantly it allows you to ensure you are sufficiently far away from the toilets)
On board the aircraft i was pleasantly surprised by the frequency the cabin crew offer complimentary drinks which range from water, soft drinks and even wine! the flight itself was 10 hours, during which i had no fewer than 3 meals! The food quality was average which in truth, far superseded my expectations before hand after flying with the likes of Air China!
the entertainment system available on board was fairly comprehensive, catering for just about all tastes. Programs ranged from top end blockbusters, Top Gear, Children's TV and even sport, including highlights from the Olympics!
The main advantage flying with BA however, comes when flying with a piece of sporting equipment such as a snowboard, it is free to carry onboard unlike cheaper airlines such as Easy Jet who charge £15 for the privilege. This often means it is not only more comfortable to fly with BA, but cheaper aswell.
To conclude i have had some extremely pleasurable flights with BA and will be sure to fly with them whenever possible.

Summary: A wonderful and enjoyable experience.
