I realise that there are already a vast array of reviews of BMI, but I thought I would add my own experience and opinion to the rest. As part of our holiday this year to the Middle East, we took two BMI flights, a short domestic flight, followed by a longer 5 hour flight. In terms of getting to the destination and dates and timings, ...  Read the complete review

I took a bmi flight this year because it was part of the package when I bought my holiday, not because i chose the airline specifically. For this reason, I can't comment on the process of booking the flight or the price of flights. Check in at the airport was nice and straightforward, we didn't have to queue for too long, and the check ...  Read the complete review

I travelled a few times between Manchester and London. Booking was on their main website and I bought return trips for approximately £60-80. Manchester Terminal 3 where BMI is based share the Terminal with Flybe and VLM which makes it quite a less stressfull atmosphere as fewer people in the terminal in the Afternoon. The Check-in Staff ...  Read the complete review

I have flown from East Midlands to Belfast International Airport three times in the last two years and have chosen bmi British Midland every time. The main reason for this is that I usually travel with a family member who has a disability and like the fact that we can book our seats on-line. The planes are clean and have always taken off on time ...  Read the complete review

Having traveled with BMI before, I always have had a good experiance so when the BMI Baby service proved to be the cheapest option for me for a trip to the UK mainland from Belfast International, I was worried that this may have been a "downsize" from the BMI we all know. I wasn't disapointed. The check in at Belfast ...  Read the complete review

I flew from Manchester to Antigua on BMI's Premium Economy flight last July, and, I have to say, I was very impressed. BMI have changed their classes from First Class, Business Class, Coach, to Business Class, Premium Economy and Economy, so I was flying the equivalent of Business Class. This is the best Business Class I have ...  Read the complete review

British Midland airways (BMI) are a London Heathrow/Manchester based airport flying their modern fleet of aircrafts to Europe, North America, Carribean, Middle East, Africa & Central Asia. I always love knowing a bit about what aircraft I'll be flying on, so heres a bit of info on their modern fleet. Airbus A319-100 - 11 ...  Read the complete review

Just came back from a trip to Sanfran and Las Vegas. Booked with BMI as I had flown with them before however was a little nervous given some of the reviews on here. Anyway I was relived to find that they were as good as when I first flew with them 3 years ago. Flight to Chicargo in Economy was great, very unventful, took off on time, service was good, meal was nice and staff on board very friendly. Seat back TV's are good and camera on the front of the plane is a great touch. A320 aircafft used feels spacious and light. Return flight from Las Vegas was excellent as well, flight took off on time and the flight time was only 9.5 hours which was a major bonus. Again good choice of meal only negative comment is they charge for wine.

I first used bmi on a flight from london to aberdeen earlier this year. I chose the cheapest possible flight and as such was prepared for sub-standard performance. I was really impressed by the whole experience. The first thing that shocked me was the amount of legroom - there was more legroom than i have had on many other larger planes - I flew ...  Read the complete review

If you want comfort, invest in a good pair of trainers and walk. No leg room, One cup of coffee on a 7.1/2 hour flight. Staff looked upon us like we were something they had trod in. Then the muppets left our baggage along with 45 other fliers baggage in chicago

First started flying bmi when I moved from England to Northern Ireland, and starting using their regular shuttle from Belfast City (BHD) to Heathrow. A promotion with the bmi Mastercard (now the bmi American Express card) earned me 20,000 bmi Diamond Club miles, which more than paid for my first three one-way flights. Similarly promotions seem to ...  Read the complete review

Back in July, my husband and I decided to take an adult’s only holiday to Las Vegas. We thought we should have a bit of couple time to recharge our relationship and have a bit of fun. As someone who lives in London, I often find myself spoiled for choice of different airlines flying to the same destination. And in this case it's all comes down to value for money, customer service and convinience offered by competitors. I fly quite often both for buisness and pleasure. I have flown BMI shorthall about 8 times so ...  Read the complete review

I have been flying to the Channel Island of Jersey from Leeds Bradford airport for about 4 years now, visiting a close relative who moved over there for better pay and lifestyle.
