Cathay Pacific operates from Hong Kong International Airport. It's focus cities are Bangkok Suvarnabhumi International Airport and Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport. It offers 110 destinations with a fleet size of 116 planes and 48 on order. Cathay Pacific headquarters are located in Hong Kong and its part of the one world team. Cathay Pacific was founded in 1946 as Cathay Pcific and can now be found on airfields under the name CX for IATA (International Airline Transport Association) and CPA for ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization.

The fleet consists of the following planes:

* 31 Airbus A330-300 and 9 on order
* 15 Airbus A340-300
* 1 Airbus A340-600
* 3 Boeing 747-200F
* 23 Boeing 747-400
* 6 Boeing 747-400F
* 7 Boeing 747-400BCF and 1 on order

Cathay Pacific offers 3 classes to be seated in economy and business and first class although these names change depending on the destination, offering different length between chairs etc.

There are 4 known accident and/or incidents that have occurred to Cathay Pacific killing 120 people and 18 survived.

My experience with Cathay Pacific:
Personally I think Cathay Pacific is a great company it reliable as most of its flight were on time and the crew is friendly. I flew with them from Hong Kong to Denpasar (Bali) on a Boeing 777-300 and there was plenty of leg space in economy. The stewards and stewardesses where very friendly and helpful making it a enjoyable flight.

Food is offered on board on most flights, they contain of 1 or 2 meals (breakfast, dinner or lunch). Like most Asian company the food offered for lunch and dinner is very nice.

Most planes operated by Cathay Pacific are new and their well kept and maintained, the paintjob on most planes are shiny new and look good.

Prices are cheap to average to expensive depending on the type of class, flight etc. but in my view the price is well worth it to what you get.

Cathay Pacific has onboard entertainment on most long haul flight. This will be located either in the form of your own seat or on a big display screen in front of you.
