Newest Review: ... programmes shown were not impressive. Most of them were just advertisements of China Southern Airlines only. No earphone was provided though I had not actively asked for it. Food and beverage A variety of drinks were available during the flight. You can order soft drinks, juices, water, tea and coffee. A ham sandwich was also served. There was only one flavour available and the only choice you have is eat it or not eat it. On the whole, I found that the service was of the standard generally to be expected of a domestic flight in China. I recently flied with China Southern Airlines for a short haul flight from Xi'An to Taiyuan, a short domestic flight in China which took just slightly more than one hour. Prior to boarding Our flight was scheduled to take off at 1:30 p.m. but it did not depart until 2:40 p.m. There was no explanation given but that was not uncommon in China. There was a small notice at the boarding gate informing you of the delay in time and change of boarding gate but it was written in Chinese only. For passengers who can read Chinese, that's fine.
