... just flown London Heathrow to Shanghai return on China Eastern Airways i feel i must warn people thinking of using this airline the experience of myself and 2 colleagues. We Travelled Business Class, when we boarded the aircraft we found the Business Class section was not even in the same league as economy on BA, Emirates or Cathay Pacific. We spoke to the Purser who to our suprise commented " did your travel agent not tell you that Business Class is not very good on this airline." ... t0 the 14th October 2006. to Shanghai business class £1250 After reading the bad things about China Eastern I went to my flight out to Shanghai with trepidation, I checked with the airline as to which aircraft was on for that flight, to my relief it was the 600, Was impressed with the seats which were very comfortable but a lot of the westerners on the flight like myself are on the large side 42 waste found the seatbelts on the end of their adjustment and tight. The guy in front reclined his chair and it broke, the air hostess tried lifting it up and after dropping him violently into the horizontal position, moved him to another seat. The films were really up to date...

... I flew them from Shanghai to Hong Kong. Made my reservations a day early. Arrived at the air port to find my flight cancelled. I was put on a flight 30 minutes later. When I arrived at the gate area the gate I was given on my boarding pass and the gate displayed on air port information we very different. After asking around I was told to go to the gate on my boarding pass. The gate agent confirmed that this was the correct gate. Fifteen minutes after the susposed boarding time we were informed that the gate was changed to the gate shown on the air port displays.
