Advantages: There is know messing about when it comes to Cyprus Turkish Airlines

Disadvantages: having to do two flights

I flew with them yesterday and have been doing since 2003.
although I am not a confident flyer I do trust them. I have read all the reviews and took note of each and everyone of them.
Some reviews complained about how old the aircraft are. There are eight aircraft. All the aircraft are being done up as they are updating the carpets and seat fabric. (not at the same time)Their inflight service is out of service at the moment and they do apoligise about this. I went on one of their aircraft with a leather seat!!!

Someone mentioned the Captain should be tested again. I think not!!! Yesterday the flight took 5 hours to get to Manchester but this was because of turbulent weather which they cannot help and he was extremely brillant handling this. They are experienced as mountains surround Antalya and Ercan (kyrenia mountains) which are hard to become airborn and to descend with.
Yesterday the seatbelt sign was on most of the way as the flight was bumpy. But still the English persisted to try to go to the toilet. Why ? i do not know the cabin crew said they couldnt go as it was dangerous to stand when bumpy but do the English listen ? NO. Im Fully British but i know I am not rude. I wouldnt listen to the comments people have made as they only give one side of the story.
Also the cabin crew do greet you on and off the plane and yesterday kept saying Happy New Year to me which is cute.

The cabin crew are very good at their english. Some reviews comment on the lack of safety information and how they represent it. Question: how many airline crew (all over the world)look interested when they give saftey information? Answer:none this is because they do this all the time so i am not going to doubt them for this.

Teresa2 included many airlines will start flying to Cyprus this is incorrect as Onur air have stopped or will be stopping And Cyprus turkish Airlines (KTHY) have been said to be very safe to fly with. Onur air says there is no competion
They also give you 2 meals on the two flights.
Ercan is sweet with three gates and all duty free is fully open.
You could fly to Turkey and then have a transfer to fly with KTHY. Because really they are a shuttle service to Turkey.

PLease remember that northern cyprus is still a developing country and need the tourism to keep them going.

Summary: Do fly with them, there only small !!!!
