Not so Easy when something breaks (easyJet)

Advantages: Cheap, stress-free travel

Disadvantages: Plane broke!

Newcastle to Bristol return - same day.

First leg was great - checked in no problem, was allocated a group (you board the plane in a first-come first served system), boarded and flew no problem. Even the cabin crew were friendly and left you alone.

Return flight - boarded the plane, only to be told after 10 minutes that a part had broken, the part wasn't kept in stock and would have to be taxi'd from London.

6 hours later the plane was fixed and we were on our way.

The staff were functional rather than helpful but I feel for the 10 o'clock passengers waiting too who wouldn't take off until 2.15AM. I will use them again but "planes breaking" aren't what you think of when flying.

Summary: If the plane breaks, you're in trouble.
