Okay but hidden charges are creeping in (easyJet)

Advantages: Reliable (generally), crew are polite

Disadvantages: Free-for-all when it comes to boarding

I have flown with them a few times now and they have been average. Once when I went Gatwick - Malaga they delayed the flight for over 5 hours, and the customer service was awful - the staff at the desk hadn''t the faintest idea what was going on (either that or they were told by managers not to pass any information on). But other then this they have been okay. You now have to pay if you want to check-in luggage which I think is unfair. Although you are allowed 20kg (compared to Ryanair's 15kg). The website is easy to book flights and prices are normally reasonable. Plus they go from the main city airports. Food on-board is expensive but you are allowed to bring your own stuff. Also it's no allocated seating so it can be a free-for-all, literally! Plus they assign people into groups : Priority baorders, A and B. You get A if you check-in a good few hours before. People are supposed to board in that order, but once again it's a free-for-all and people just push to the front. Once when flying Alicante - Gatwick I was A and the people in group B got annoyed that I was pushing to the front to board - but that is how it works - if you want a better choice of seat make the effort to arrive at check-in in good time or don't complain if you're last to board!!! What a cheek!!
