I never know how to start these things but here goes.

I have been looking for a way of getting rid of hormonal Helen a.k.a.Sarah our eldest for some of the holidays when my sister-in-law ofered to have her for a short time she lives in Hemel Hempstead and I live in Edinburgh.

My prayers were answered ,harmony could be restored and the summer would pass easier and quiter without the constant door slamming in our house.

Next problem getting her there.I phoned, went on web sites and implored our local Travel agents to help but unless I wanted to pey 330 quid for her to travel unaccompainied 1 way there was not going to be a cheap soloution to my new problem.

Then while surfing I tried out the easyjet site
brilliant easy to use and although they would not take her unaccompanied I could travel down with her and return the same night all for a mere 122 pounds I would have to wait at Luton for an hour and a half but pictures of me relaxing child free glass of wine in hand and a copy of OK in front of me quickly filled that time delay.

Reality : We arrive at Edinburgh in plenty of time to catch the flight to be told it was delayed for 1 and 1/2 hours I explained my plans to retun that evening to the young lady at the desk and she tried to help but it seems her computer was down.She phoned Luton who told her there computers were down and I would have to see ground staff at the airport when I landed and I could not be guarenteed travel back up that night.I spend the rest of the time we were in the airport panicking!!
Then they announced a farther 1 hour delay I was doomed .I would be spending the next few hours sleeping in the terminal I could see it now .

When we arrived at Luton I raced passed my sister in law stopping only to kiss my daughter and my neice and nephew on my way to see the man at customer services.

Is it my imagination am I getting old or are all these people getting younger and younger?

he was very nice and explained my retun plan was also delayed and would be leaving in 20 mins my ideas about wine and magazines went out the window.

I arrived home deshevelled but happy my daughter sfetly delivered and the wine well............... cheers everyone!!

Easyjet have a good informative web site where you can shop about to find the cheapest flights. The staff are all cheerful (young) and very helpful the planes are basic but get you there all in all I would recommend this service and would use it again!
