With easyjet dominating the headlines recently regarding the whole Tony Blair controversy basically choosing RyanAir for his summer vacation flight choice over EasyJet I thought I would share my experiences with Dooyoo'ers. Firstly the price of the flights are highly competitive and the buyer has two options available for ordering tickets. They may either purchase online using the secure site or order via the telephone (0870 national call rate number). I have only had experience of ordering online and I have not had any problems with this option over the four flights I have booked to Belfast International from both Luton and Liverpool. On ordering, you basically receive a confirmation number immediately on screen and this is again e-mailed to you. (NOTE: write down the number 1st time round and do not rely on it being in your e-mail inbox as I, once, did not receive the confirmation e-mail but luckily I had written this down initially when it was up on the Internet. EasyJet basically told me they do not guarantee that I would recive the confirmation e-mail.) I have recently noticed that they have started charging £3 if you order via MasterCard or Visa over the Internet and with flights being relatively cheap this £3 amounts to a large proportion of the flight costs. Check-in was fine at all times and very useful as I missed my flight on two occasions and they put me on the next flight without charge on both occasions. The flight itself is good and because of the short duration you receive a beverage. Statistics on the EasyJet site show that 77% of all flights arrive on time and 97% of flights arrive within one hour of the estimated time. All in all for the price I believe Stelios is doing an excellent job with EasyJet and the diversification into Cars shall only add to its market power.
