Advantages: cheap, internet based

Disadvantages: not much choice of departure destinations within europe, price doesn't include tax

We are all familiar with that orange and white logo thats slapped on everything from internet cafes to the side of black London cabs. Stelios thingumyopoulos, the Greek Cypriot who has revolutionised European air travel for us Brits.

If you expect class sophistication and outstanding customer service you aren't going to get it, but if you want a cheap hassle free flight then this is for you.

Booking tickets can't be simpler. Easyjet fly 100 routes from over 36 airports around Europe. All you have to to is log on to the website www.easyjet.com choose where you want to go and when - whip out your trusty plastic and print the information. There website is easy to negotiate, all you have to do is pop in your departure and arrival details into the section at the left of the screen within moments a whole arrary of fligts appear as if by magic!

Booking an "e ticket" is cheaper than calling by telephone, they call this a web fare but you can pay by phon ebut the number is not easy to find it is 0870 6 000 000 - it is in the contact us information.

One thing that can bump up a fair is the tax which can often be 20 pounds more on top of your ticket, easyjet also charge a fee for using a credit card.

My main experiences have been between London and Athens. I have found that prices can vary dramatically so check the prices carefully, I am looking for a flight at the moment and it can vary between 80 pounds and 160 pounds (one way) at the moment - sometimes easyjet isn't always the cheapest option, I have found BA cheaper on a number of occasions. My last trip from London to Athens cost 69 pounds one way.

I have learnt to arrive well in advance as easyjet seats are issued on a first come first served basis. It is also been known that they can overbook seats on a plane. Also, even if you are travelling within Britain you need a passport for security reasons.

Customer Service at Luton was as
I expected not outstanding but no one was impolite although the lady who was issuing me my boarding pass, seemed more interested in eyeing up a handsome young asian porter.. Everything else was pretty smooth, Luton isn't exactly a comfortable airport and I was pretty glad to board.

My plane was a Boeing 737 series, the interior was nothing special but might seat was comfortable enough. I got ready for my flight as the stewardess in the bright orange and navy uniforms ran through the safety instructions. The flight itself was smooth and on time. There is no in flight entertainment and refreshments cost extra (I paid 2.50 for a coke) The flight passed quickly and upon landing in Athens the stewardess told us to wait till we left the concourse "befor avin a fag"

So would I recommend easyjet...um yeah...I say if you are sat on a plane for 2 -3 hours you don't need a movie or food ( no one eats that stuff anyway). It might not be classy or sophisticated but I think that is part of the easyjet experience.
