Advantages: on time, friendly, cheap !!!!

Right I suppose the best thing to start off telling you is why I decided to fly with Easyjet. The one main reason was the price. I paid £50 for a return flight to Ibiza from Stansted, which flew in early June and got back on the 9th. Well when I saw that price I wasn?t going to turn it down so booked it right away.

SEARCHING AND BOOKING

You can either book over the phone or on the internet (as I did) as its cheaper this way. The internet is best as you can see a breakdown cost of the price and how much it is to fly on different days. You also save £5.00 per flight by booking on the internet. (also the earlier you book the cheaper the flight) To search for a flight it gives you a list of all the airports they fly from. Once you see an airport you want to fly from you highlight it, below, in the ?fly to? box it brings up all the destinations you can travel to from your selected airport.

As usual you enter your date you want to go people travelling etc.
It then brings you up the flight availability and the prices, it also gives you the prices of flights either side of the date you selected, so you can choose the best fare possible for when you want to travel

If you decide you want to buy those flights you proceed and enter your details. These are kept safe and confidential its just they can bring up your details quickly if you want to book with them again. After you?ve done that you enter your card details which they take the majority (even solo which I paid with). Then the flights are booked. You will get an email to your account confirming that you booked this flight, it also has all the details on such as flight numbers and flight times, and then the all important part your reference number,

Your reference number is individual to your booking and you need to present this at check in. this is because easy jet is an e-ticket airline. Therefore it doesn?t issue tickets. don?t worry about this though it still works just
as well (in my opinion even better) then if you had a ticket.

CHECKING IN AND FLYING

The check in desk opens two hours before the flight its best to get there as soon as possible so you can avoid the queues. One thing I will comment on is that the check-in process was a little bit slower to what I was used to, but no harm done I was third in the queue. You give them your reference number and your passports they check you in and give you a boarding pass and all you have to do is wait???.

When you board the plane. They have a priority boarding system where families and the disabled get on first after that you are sent onto the plane in the order that you check in. You don?t have seat numbers so the earlier you check in the more likely you are to have a better seat. On our outbound flight we got the seats next to the middle emergency exit doors and had loads and loads of leg room which was great. The staff are very friendly, chatty and quite entertaining. After that the flight is like any other, apart from you do not have the option to purchase in-flight meals, but you can purchase snacks and drinks on board the plane. Also you have the opportunity to buy perfumes, make up, alcohol etc? duty free. They are a lot cheaper than in the shops so well worth it.

TO SUM IT ALL UP.....

To be quite honest I was a little wary at first after seeing the airline programs, as this put me off somewhat. Another thing, I was always a firm believer of ?you get what you pay for?. I honestly thought we would encounter some kind of problem. For once I was proved wrong and got a lot more than what I paid for. In all Easyjet are as good as any other non low cost scheduled airlines, if not better because of the price. Do not be put off by the airline program on tv, their will be problems on some of the flights, as there are with any airline they just show the bad parts for entertainment, because lets face it no one is entertained by watching
the checking in process go smoothly. So my opinion? Go Easyjet !!!
