... just recently went on Egypt air and it was one of the worst airlines I have ever been on. I flew from London to Cairo to Sharm-El-Sheikh and then back to London. On every flight I went on there was always a delay. My flight back to London was delayed for 40 minutes because one of the security guards had lost the keys for the boarding door. The food was absolutely horrible; they served fish and beef only. I tried the beef and was just disgusting and all I ate throughout the whole flight was the bread roll which they served with the food. The service was just average and wasn’t very special. ... may not be the first airline to spring to mind when planning a long-haul trip, but if you are watching the pennies and don't mind roughing it, Egyptair is a good choice for flights via Cairo to much of Africa. Where is the best place to buy tickets on them? This is my best advice based upon 10 years experience of selling discounted airline tickets - but if you think you already know everything, and just want to find out the cheapest place to buy it for this airline, then skip to the last paragraph! Lets face it, all airlines can get you from A to B, sometimes you have to change at C, sometimes you have to hang around at C, but if price is your main conce...

... second-hand opinion, but from several sources....My father got on an Egyptair flight at night, and always claims if he'd seen it in daylight, he wouldn't have got on it. An opinion echoed by several other friends who've been (un)fortunate enough to fly with them. Planes are generally old and unhappy looking, and unless you like kebabs for breakfast the food leaves much to be desired..unfortunately, if you want to take an internal flight, you have no choice, but several other airlines fly to and from Cairo from the UK now. ...
