I booked with excel to go to egypt in 2006! I worked for a travel company and had got friendly with someone working at excel so booked with him. I had read a few reviews on how bad they were but my experience couldnt have been more different. Our flight was at 10.30, we arrived at the airport around 7.30 am and checked straight in. We got a window seat and actually ended up with the 3 row between just the two of us. We had a lovely meal on the plane it was chicken in a tomatoe band basil sauce. After booking our holiday to Kefalonia with Bargain Holidays I was a bit dubious to find that our flight was booked with Excel Airways. After hearing so many horror stories about delays and customer service I really was not keen to use them. We arrived at Manchester Airport at 10.00 to find that our check in desk was already open and we were only second in the queue. We were asked if we would like a window seat and were really pleased to find after boarding that we had all three seats to ourselves as the seats themselves are quite small and packed in. We booked our flights with Excel Airways back in January, for travel in August. BOOKING We booked through the website. It was very easy to use. We paid a deposit of £120 (£40 per person) and the balance was automatically debited from my credit card in June, exactly on the day they specified, eight weeks before we left. There is an optional charge of £12 per person to reserve your seats, but we didn't take them up on this. Our tickets arrived in the post, about a week before we were due to leave.
