Advantages: Smooth check in and flights on time

Disadvantages: Ran out of food on the return flight

After booking our holiday to Kefalonia with Bargain Holidays I was a bit dubious to find that our flight was booked with Excel Airways. After hearing so many horror stories about delays and customer service I really was not keen to use them.

We arrived at Manchester Airport at 10.00 to find that our check in desk was already open and we were only second in the queue. We were asked if we would like a window seat and were really pleased to find after boarding that we had all three seats to ourselves as the seats themselves are quite small and packed in. The flight went out on time and the film was Oceans 13 which we thought was excellent. The on board staff were competent and could not do enough for everyone. Arrived in Kefalonia half an hour early and very happy.

On returning the airport in Kefalonia is very tiny and we were stood for a while waiting to go through. We were not asked about seating and ended up not sitting together which was quite dissapointing. Although it was not Excel staff that checked us in so they were not responsible. Again the flight was on time taking off and the movie back was The Ex a new release comedy. Staff again were very polite and helpful although they did run out of on board meals and had to ask seven people if they would volunteer not to have any which was quite poor. We did land on time though with no further problems.

I would say that my experience with Excel in all was a good one and I would book with them again.
