Flybe has got to be the worst airline I have ever travelled on. I live in the Isle of Man and they have us by the throat, literally. I travelled this August (2008) to Liverpool the first problem was with the check in huge long queue then even though I had booked with a travel agent to save the internet ticket nightmare of the year before, because there were 8 of us (including a baby) they could only handle 6 so my two sons were dealt with separately (one ended up sitting with a stranger!). I had paid extra for a bag because the baby is not allowed a bag! Nothing was said and when I returned to Liverpool (from Barcelona with EasyJet a 5 star fantastic airline) I was told although I had paid for the bag it was not allowed any extra weight allowance and I had to pay an EXTRA £80. WHY WOULD YOU PAY FOR A BAG WHEN YOU CAN'T PUT ANYTHING IN IT? The staff don't care, everything is an extra cost and next year I'll take the ferry to Liverpool and either fly from there or Manchester. Oh and as an aside note, avoid Flybe to Gatwick like the plague, last year my experience was horrifying and it's got no better, my friend has just gone to Turin and from taking off in the Isle of Man to sitting down in the departure lounge for his connecting flight five and a half hours (the flight is one and a half hours) so FOUR hours for baggage collection, check in and security checks.
Seemingly on the way back you have about four security checks in a row between you and the plane.

Summary: Worst airline I've ever used.
