Advantages: checking in proceedure

Flybe claim to be one of the uk's cheapest airlines when in actual fact, they are far from it. In my experience, even with extremely advance booking by about 5 months, the cost has somehow escalated beyond my belief. Sure, the flight itself might be cheap but once you have had to pay for your insurance and baggage, it gets a bit daft and you are pretty much better off paying an extra ten pounds and flying with a company like BA where you will at least get a meal and you don't have to pay taxes etc on top of that.

The planes in my experience with flybe have often been quite dirty, perhaps this is due to their turn around on flights. I have often been disappointed to see that their flights run at inconvenient times and often there is only one flight per 3 days or something. It's frustrating to have to fly one way with one airline, and back the other with another.

One thing that can also be said about flybe is that their checking in service is swift. Forcing people to do online check in or using a machine at the airport is a great idea and makes the whole thing a lot easier.

Summary: an okay airline to get from a to b but there are cheaper alternatives.
