I feel it's my civic duty to warn anybody out there who may be considering flying with Flybe NOT TO! My New Year's resolution is NEVER TO FLY WITH FLYBE AGAIN! I wrote to the CEO explaining how Flybe losing my luggage for 36 hours on the outward leg of a weekend trip to Cheltenham Literature Festival on Oct 5 had completely ...  Read the complete review

Express Review on Flybe
by Richard - written on 18/02/11
Rating:

Their web site is abysmal and tries at every stage to charge extra for everything. Apart from that, it actually selects the wrong flights (on Safari under OS X) and then you can't get through to their call centre to get it changed. A truly noxious company.

Flybe: Poor booking systems (251 words)

Bad experience trying to change travel date . First their frustrating and poorly written javascript website would not process it (kept springing buggy Exceptions), secondly I could not speak to a customer agent due to being permanently on a hold que( at £1 per min.) I had to finally jump in my car and drive to the airport and physically ...  Read the complete review

Have flown with them three times so far - twice from Birmingham to Paris and the third from Birmingham to Aberdeen. Birmingham to Paris CDG was problem-free, except for the second time when my wife and I were returning home from a week-long break in the City of Lights. Flybe actually operated the Air France flight, and Air ...  Read the complete review

We recently used Flybe for a trip to Northern Ireland, flew return from Manchester for around £35 (this was booked a fair few months in advance hence the cheap price!). The booking process was smooth, however about a month later we had an email to say our flight home was cancelled and we had to take another one, which was a bit ...  Read the complete review

I flew with Flybe.com on Xmas Eve 2007 and was massively disappointed with the airline and the service received. When I arrived at Glasgow airport I looked at the departures board and noticed that my flights to Birmingham were showing but that they were flicking between destinations under the same flight number and showing as ...  Read the complete review

I have flown flybe a number of times and have found them to be reasonable. The staff are friendly and check in was very quick and efficient. One of the planes I flew on was a BAe 146. The plane itself looked quite well and modern. The seats were set up with three seats each side of the row and had a cheaper leathery feel to them. They were ...  Read the complete review

I flew shorthaul on this airline from Southampton to Scotland a couple of years ago and can only be positive about the whole experience. The booking was easy, the price was right, the check in was quick, flight was fine and the whole experience did what it needed to. The staff were pleasant and helpful, which makes a bad ...  Read the complete review

Good service (165 words)

Initially I only booked Flybe because they had been recommended by a travel website I was using. Unlike some other budget airlines, the service was basic but you didn't feel like they were trying to sting you for every extra penny they could-it was just no frills, which is fine, I don't want a bag of pretzels on a 30min trip. ...  Read the complete review

Flybe: flybe, not really that cheap (212 words)

Flybe claim to be one of the uk's cheapest airlines when in actual fact, they are far from it. In my experience, even with extremely advance booking by about 5 months, the cost has somehow escalated beyond my belief. Sure, the flight itself might be cheap but once you have had to pay for your insurance and baggage, it gets a bit daft ...  Read the complete review

Can I give minus stars? Flybe has got to be the worst airline I have ever travelled on. I live in the Isle of Man and they have us by the throat, literally. I travelled this August (2008) to Liverpool the first problem was with the check in huge long queue then even though I had booked with a travel agent to save the internet ticket ...  Read the complete review

I am basing this review purely on an experience very recently with flybe. Upon arrival at the airport, the check-in desk had a member of staff there well in advance, so things were looking good. However, they pretty much lazed around before opening it when they were meant to, although they could of before-hand with a growing ...  Read the complete review

I visit France two or three times a year and usually travel there by ferry then drive to my destination from Caen. However, last year my husband had to be in France a couple of weeks before I needed to be there, so it was decided that he would take the ferry and I would fly out a week or so later. I have only ever flown from ...  Read the complete review

Flybe - prices rising and service plummeting (172 words)

I have a convenience factor with Flybe, as they fly from the nearest airport to me. However, given the choice I would prefer to fly with another carrier. I remember a day when Flybe were affordable and offered good customer service. Those days seem behind them now as prices are crept up and up in recent years. Granted that the price of ...  Read the complete review
