FlyGlobespan Airline

Newest Review: ... original from the early 1980s, so some seats were falling apart and it was difficult from many seats to view the movies. The flight was delayed by about 2 hours, which seems to be as near to on time as this airline gets. Even in the business class seats, pillows, blankets and headsets cost extra, as did every drink except water (from a fountain near the toilets) and tea/coffee. The meal was just plain bad. The return flight (5/6th September) was also delayed, and this time we were in economy. Across the aisle from us was an occupied seat with the armrest held on by duct tape. While I'm sure their aircraft are maintained to CAA standards, th... more

Glasgow to Halifax, 29th August 2009. We paid extra for business class seats, and these were decent value for the extra legroom, but my footrest fell off. The interior was obviously the original from the early 1980s, so some seats were falling apart and it was difficult from many seats to view the movies. The flight was delayed by about 2 hours, which seems to be as near to on time as this airline gets. I flew with FlyGlobeSpan in September 2007 from London Gatwick to Vancouver. When I originally booked the flights I had not heard of FlyGlobeSpan but they were the cheapest flights I could find so I booked them anyway prepared for the discomfort that travelling low cost entails. On arrival at the airport we checked in with ease and boarded the plane on time. The planes are basic with television screens at various points throughout the plane (if you are short, like me, and sat in the middle seat then you are unlikely to see the screens). You need headphones in order to hear the movies/programmes but your own personal ones should work. My inability to see didn't ...  Read the complete review

FlyGlobespan: cheap flights...............check the small print (459 words)

My wife booked our holiday last year through an Internet company and they in turn booked us onto a Globespan flight. And there the problems started. We got no paperwork apart from flight documents from Fly Globepspan. I had to check the internet for the luggage allowance. 20 kilos. BE WARNED, IT IS NOT CLEAR BUT THIS ACTUALLY INCLUDING HAND LUGGAGE. On arrival at the airport we were then told about a £13 charge PER CASE just to get it in the hold. If you check luggage in, in advance it is £8 per case. We had no chioce but to pay by credit card. The sting here is that is you pay cash you get a £10 handling charge. Credit Cards attract no charge. The ...  Read the complete review

FlyGlobespan is an airline based in Scotland which offers cheap flights to many destinations and is expanding international flights from Scotlands main airports. The airline has well maintained planes and friendly, well turned out and very professional staff and these things combined make you feel very at ease and relaxed which is something that is very good for all passengers but especially those who are not the best at flying, add this to the great prices you can get flights for and you have a package that is one that works brilliantly and makes you happy to be a return passenger (I have used FlyGlobespan since my first experience and was impressed both ...  Read the complete review

flyglobespan is a budget airline in the UK flying to many different destinations both in Europe and America. From Scotland it flies from Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Glasgow. This list isn't exhaustive and it flies from many other UK airports. We recently flew with this airline from Glasgow to Alicante in Spain and here is our good review: No Delays :) ---------------- There were no delays at Glasgow or Alicante. The plane took off at the correct time leaving Glasgow and the same with the return journey leaving Alicante. Pilot review --------------- It was a smooth flight both ways with very smooth landings which was ...  Read the complete review
