Cheap but high class airline (Indian Airlines)

Advantages: Very good service from all concerned

Disadvantages: Some aircraft are of older design and lack entertainment systems

I have flown with Indian Airlines a number of times from Heathrow to New York
I always used this airline because it was usually one hundred pounds cheaper than its nearest rival. The airline itself has always treated me well, the customer service call centre is very helpful when purchasing your travel tickets and I know I could use the website but I find I like a more personal service. The airline uses Boeing aircraft on there long haul flights and have a fabulous safety record. The safety briefing is in English and I felt very secure that the crew were confident in there abilities. The aircraft on this particular flight was quite new and had video play back services on each seat. I have heard that on some of there routes older aircraft are used which do not have this facility it would be worth checking before confirming your booking.
The staff were very presentable and guided me to my seat where I got myself ready for take off. I wasn't so sure on the food but too my relief both meals were of English design and very tasty.
The flight was what I expected a very friendly service with free soft drinks as much snacks as you could eat. I found the crew very helpful in filling out the landing cards and seemed genuinely interested in my trip and even made some suggestions on places to visit during my stay.
In conclusion the flight went very well the staff were friendly and the food had some strong flavour which made it a pleasure to eat. The flight was about eight hours but everything was on tap to make the time as pleasurable as possible. I would recommend this airline to anyone not only is it cheaper but I gave better service than its rivals definitely worth a look
