Advantages: Budget, no frills at good prices

Disadvantages: Long queues at check ins

As my family live in the south of Spain, I'm always on the lookout for bargain flights out to visit. I had never heard of jet2 until a tv advert appeared so I was straight onto their website. Booking was straight forward enough, but I was caught out thinking that the flight was a bargain but when you added the taxes on it was about the same price as Ryanair although for me the advantage was flying from Belfast International rather than having to travel to Dublin. I was able to pre book out seats at an extra cost.

The queues at the check in were horrendous - we stood some 45 minutes to check in, although next time I would look at travelling luggage free and check in online. The flights both to and from Murcia were ontime, the check in at Murcia was not just as long thankfully as what it had been in Belfast.

The airline was clean, the crew on the outward journey were polite and friendly, and the 3 hour journey went quickly with the refreshment trolly making several trips up and down the aisle. However, on the return journey, 2 children in the row in front were very sick and the parents were struggling to cope and the stewardesses on the flight did nothing to help which was disapointing.

No frills, but long queues.

Summary: Good enough service but leave plenty of time!
