JMC AIRLINES. They have been going for almost three years now and keeping strong at it. If you've read opinions about them being awful and un-reliable, read some of the good ones... believe me they ARE the TRUTH....

<<<Check-in>>>
A great check-in system at Gatwick Airport South Terminal. The staff were friendly, the service was fast and reliable, and there were 2-3 check-in desks open for my flight which was very helpful.
We were one of the first there so we had a wide range of seats to choose from! I was happy with that.

<<<Departures>>>
The flight was expected to depart early so we had to go straight to departures. This was yet again a very fast and reliable service.

<<<Gate>>>
We were called to the gate 1hr. 15mins. before the flights scheduled departre time so there was no need to rush. When we arrived in the gate JMC boarded us onto the plane in a very neat way.. calling us by seat numbers.. so this was handy because it wasn't just one big mad dash.

<<<Departure>>>
I cannot complain one single bit about this due to the fact it was 30 minutes early but I think the pilot could have gone a bit less steep... Not that it was as bad as my previous flight with Airtours.

<<<On-board flight entertainment>>>
The flight was 5hrs. and 15mins. so we had plenty of time to watch Shrek.. followed by some old favourite programmes like Friends etc. Although you had to pay £2.50 (I think) for a pair of headphones.. but then again you get that on every airline company so I wasn't that bothered.
There was also a wide range of radio stations to listen to... and I must say that the T.V screens were placed in very comfortable places... on the back of the seats and up under the luggage compartments.

<<<Food>>>
Now I must say. Like almost everyone else in the World I can't stand airline food but JMC were just fantastic. W
e were given a menu card on boarding and the food was excellent. Very tasty and a lovely after.. which is going to remain anonymous!!!!

<<<Aircraft>>>
The plane was very clean and like all planes didn't have much legroom, but I can't really complain about that. We had a Mr. Motivator video shown to us, showing examples of excersizes to prevent DVT (deep vain thrombosis). The T.V screens were set idealy and the seats were quite comfortbale.

<<<Cabin Crew>>>
They were brilliant... First thing on a Thursday morning on a 5 hour flight to Egypt. An aeroplane would be the last place you'd want to be. But I must say that they were very nice and cheerful so I was satisfied with the service given. An excellent job!!
The pilot was also very helpful by giving us regular updates about the weather and what time we shall arrive in Egypt. We had a slight bit of turbulence on the way over and he was very helpful with that aswell.

<<<Landing>>>
The landing was brilliant... the weather was perfect and landing conditions were great. And normally on landing you'd get a bit of a bump on touchdown... but on this flight it was as soft as cotton... Everyone on board were extremely impressed which resulted in an applause for the pilot after arriving the airport terminal.
I must compliment the speed that we were getting off the aircraft at... Very fast and in a orderly manner.

<<<Baggage Reclaim>>>
Yet again a fast and reliable service... I was glad to get out of that airport after a long flight and the weather that was there.

<<<Flight back>>>
A very similar experience except we were 45 minutes early that time!!!!!

<<<Thomas Cook Airlines>>>
JMC shall soon be re-branding as Thomas Cook Airlines but I have read and heared that the service shall be of the usually very high standard and the only thing that's changing is the name and col
ours. Just because they're changing their name don't hesitate to use Thomas Cook because I definately shall be. They shall be flying from the usual UK airports to the same destinations as normal. So look out My Travel, Britannia, Monarch... Thomas Cook are coming!!!

Overall I must say I had a wonderful time and the flights were superb... I am still getting over my awful flight with Airtours but I will definately fly with JMC AIRLINES again!!!!!

Well done JMC I was very happy with the service.

Very detailed review/opinion.

I differ only as far as I find food on flights to be good - great.

I flew JMC to portugal and I have to say it was the best flight I have ever had. Have to disagree about the food though, on our flight it was grotty.

Good op and glad you enjoyed the flight. JMC are now 're-branding' themselves again as Thomas Cook (which isn't really re-branding) so I hope they don't let their customers down by changing what appears to be good customer service. I have never flown with them so I was interested to read your op.

One or two inaccuracies, though. You only pay for head-sets for the in-flight entertainment on charter flights, not on scheduled flights. So it is not exactly true when you say you have to pay for them on ALL flights. At the beginning you said it was 4 hours 15 minutes flying time and then you said it was a 2-hour flight to Egypt! They couldn't possibly have got you to Egypt in 2 hours but maybe the time just flew by...
