I have been for more than 10 years Royal Wing member with the KLM Flying Dutchman and have been changed to Platium Elite plus with Skyteam. On paper I have a lot of avantages but every year these are reduced. Now using the KLM/AirFrance lounge in Barcelona is not allowed anymore, because I was flying a non Skyteam airline. This change was never mentioned! Next to many other changes. Even the priority on flights is not what is was. I wonder if I still want to use this card. It does not appear to check days either side of the input dates and there is no way of finding out if there are any award seats available at all without endlessly guessing dates and destinations. I checked three destinations over a two weeks period ... Read the complete review

KLM has, by far, the best Frequent Flier program than other airline in the world today. KLM itself enjoys a good reputation, in aviation circles, as being reliable, on time and providing excellent service in the air and on the ground. They call their Frequent Flier program the “Flying Dutchman”. Anyone can become a member of the program by simply picking up a form at any KLM office, the KLM check-in desk at the airport and some major travel agencies or even on the internet from their website. The form contains a temporary card that you can start using straight away, until you receive the actual card in the post. ... Read the complete review
