KLM or Royal Dutch Airlines operates from Amsterdam Schiphol Airport. It offers 250 destinations with a fleet size of 133 planes and 8 on order. KLM's headquarters are located in Amstelveen in Holland and its part of the sky team. KLM was founded in 1919 as KLM and can now be found on airfields under the name KL for IATA (International Airline Transport Association) and KLM for ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization.
The fleet consists of the following planes:
* 10 planes and 2 orders on the Airbus 330-200
* 13 Boeing 737-300
* 13 Boeing 737-400
* 13 Boeing 737-700
* 21 planes and 1 order on the Boeing 737-800
* 5 Boeing 737-900
* 11 Boeing 747-400
* 17 Boeing 747-400M
* 3 planes and 1 order on the Boeing 747-400ERF
* 15 Boeing 777-200ER
* 2 planes and 4 orders on the Boeing 777-300ER
* 10 McDonnell-Douglas MD-11
* Excluding the KLM city hopper
KLM offers 2 classes to be seated in economy and business although these names change depending on the destination.
There are 16 known accident and/or incidents that have occurred to KLM killing 525 people and 298 survived. KLM has been involved in the worst accident in aviation history on the island of Tenerife where all passengers where killed.
My experience with KLM:
Personally I think KLM is a good company it is fairly reliable as most of its flight were on time and the crew is friendly. When we flew with them places in the economy class on the 777-300ER were roomy just how it should be, and I'm a tall person.

Food is offered on board on most flights, they contain of 1 or 2 meals (breakfast, dinner or lunch). The food offered is just like any other airplane food (not that good). Breakfast consist of croissants and an omelet nothing special really.

Planes are average ranging from new to old but their well kept and maintained, as I haven't found a plane was something looks broken however some of the planes could do with a new paint job.

Prices are expensive to average but never cheap on most cases that's why we hardly ever fly with them although we used to as they had a good connection to Bali.

KLM has onboard entertainment on most long haul flight like the Airbus 330-200 and they are working on putting personal TV's on the 747-400.
