Uncomfortable sits on new 777's (KLM)

Advantages: video on demand system, fairly good food

Disadvantages: Badly designed seats, Grumy stewardess' on the way back

After booking the flight to Tokyo narita airort from Bristol via schipol I was open minded about Klm as its first time customer.
The cityhopper was fine, the usual sandwich like most airplanes was not nice but the plane was ontime and gave us extra time shopping in schipol.
The connecting flight was a 747, I was abit dissapointed knowing that the new 777 have a much better inflight entertainment system and the 747 plane had a very out dated system.
This didn't seem to matter when I boarded because there was a warm welcome and the seats were suprisngly comfortale!
We were offered with drinks hourly and the meals were 'ok'. The service was quick and the japanese stewardess' were happy and kind. Landed on time and a very successesful flight with KLM.
HOWEVER the returning flight was not so good. Leaving Narita boading the 777 (This time) there was no stewards or Stewardesses' to greet us on and once I sat down the seats were uncomfortable. The grumpy Dutch stewaresses' handed out the meals as though someone had died. They didn't smile and did not make eye contact with you when the asked what you wanted.
After a hour after take off the video on demand system had still not been turned on. The pilot announced they were broken and had to restart the whole system. This took another 30mins. When they were turned they were very sucessful. There was so much choice. Though mine was working many people around me were complaining there system wasn't.
Unlike the 747 when we were offered drinks, on this flight the you had to ask the stewardess for one and the fact that they were grumpy sort of put me off to do that.
Overall a great flight out but a poor flight back.
