Disadvantages: restricted space for economy long haul flights

We flew with KLM to the West Coast of Canada earlier this year and overall were impressed with the service we received.

As per usual there is little room on economy flights to anywhere and this is not a problem on short flights .... but on a long haul it can be frustrating, especially for people with long legs!!

After suffering on the way out to Canada we tried to book extra leg room for the journey home. We were informed that this was not possible but that we could ask on arrival at the airport for extra leg room if there were not too many babies on the return journey.

We were paged 5 mins before boarding to have our seats changed as there were some seats available that would suit my partners long legs *s*

This made the return journey much more enjoyable as the comfort was vastly improved with being able to stretch out now and again.

The food was standard airline fare so nothing to write home about but changing flights was so easy ...... we just had time for a coffee between each flight and then it was on our way again.

I would certainly fly with KLM again.
