My first trip with Lot dates back to 1997 and I flew economy to Warsaw. I remember that they were much cheaper than BA and that the hostess came around the flight to serve a sandwich and at some point she stopped, to pick something in her mouth. She then went back to business as usual. The airline (still) at that time gave away its past as the State airline for a communist country. When you fly from one country to another, there’s usually a choice of at least 2 airlines – one for your destination, and one for the place you’re leaving behind. Flying Manchester to Frankfurt I can choose from Lufthansa or British Airways (or British Midland, but I refuse to fly with them). We went to Poland last week, flying from Germany, but the only airline on offer was LOT, the Polish national carrier, so them it had to be. · Routes + Booking LOT fly into and out of Poland, linking the country with various European and Long haul destinations.
