Advantages: Good food and chamring staff, flight operated on schedule.
Disadvantages: All flights seem to go through Germany, a couple fo seats out of order.
I recently had the pleasure of flying with LTU and I thought that I would share my experience!
Like most times I fly, I chose to fly with LTU because they are a well established airline and the flight was competitievly priced.
Some info about LTU
LTU are a German airline who are owned by the better known Air Berlin. I think that they are based in Dusseldorf, because it seems that many of their flights go through there, and it is also cheaper to fly to Dusseldorf than it is to Berlin, for example.
Cost
I found LTU to be very reasonably priced. Of course, they charge in Euros so that is not so good for those of us using the Pound at the moment, Still, I think that they are one of the most competitvely priced airlines out there.
The aircraft
The aircraft was an Airbus something. It was a nice plane and I felt that it was quite new. However, I was disappointed to see that a couple of the seats were not to be used, because they were damaged. I thought that this gave the company a slightly less professional appearance.
The food
The food was good, but there was only a choice of two meals- one vegetarian and one with fish, and by the time they got to me and others near me, there was only one choice. There were plenty of drinks, although you did have to pay for alcohol (except for wine with the meal) and they only took Euros for that which was inconvenient because I didn't have any with me.
Schedule
The flight was operated on time and we landed about ten minutes early- not bad for a very long flight from Asia.
Staff
I thought that the staff were wonderful, very charming and polite, and always attentive.
Cleanliness
I thought that the plane was clean in every respect.
I would fly with LTU again. Also, you might be interested ot know that the plane was about half empty so if you want a bit more spance on a lfight then I would definitley consider these because I don't think they are very popular, maybe because you almost always have to fly through Germany if you use them and because people don't want to havre to change planes.
Summary: I would use them again!
