      Fantastic service, highly recommended!

I have just gotten back from an overnight stay in Frankfurt and as per usual Lufthansa's service was second to none. My girlfriend and I flew from Birmingham International Airport to Frankfurt an Main Airport direct at 6:25am on Saturday morning and flew back at 10:15pm on Sunday evening. Both on the way out and way back there was seamless and faultless service. Check-in was really easy and smooth and boarding opened early on both flights. The efficiency was so good that we departed several minutes early on both flights too (German efficiency at its best). Space in the seats is also really good. There is nothing worse than feeling like you're sat on top of the person next to you, even if they are your beloved. The seats are simple but comfortable and spacious and the rows are far enough apart to give decent leg space, again not that common on flights these days as airline jostle for every inch and to fit extra seats on. On both flights food and drink was provided at no additional cost. It's not gourmet food by any means but for a short haul flight absolutely does the job. On the way out it was a chocolate filled croissant and on the return a ham and cheese sandwich with a rich tomato sauce both of which tasted good and had a decent amount of filling. On the flight back they even had complementary wine on offer (it was a shame I had to drive back to Nottingham from Birmingham that night otherwise I would have enjoyed the offering). Additionally, much to my girlfriend's amazement they even provided complementary pillows and blankets for the flight back, all neatly and individually wrapped. Price-wise Lufthansa is by no means the cheapest. We booked about 3 weeks in advance and paid just over £150 each, but for the convenient travelling times, faultless service and the efficiency of the Lufthansa staff I happily pay the extra. Talking of staff, and reading some of the other views on here, some people criticise the reception from the flight attendants and other Lufthansa staff as hostile. Having flown to Germany with Lufthansa on 4 separate occasions over the last 9 years and studying German for 7 years I can confirm that is just the German politeness. They aren't fussy, they are efficient and scrupulous with details which at times can be interpreted as hostile/almost rude, but ask for help and they are straight on to it with no time wasting. They also tell you things how they are, no dressing it up in lots of words. Overall Lufthansa provide a fantastic service and I will certainly be using them again in the future. You certainly get what you pay for so it is well worth paying the extra.

        A reliable airline

I travel from Birmingham to Berlin about once every two months to visit my friend. Due to the lack of airline choice on this particular route I chose Lufthansa who are the only airline offering direct flights between the two airports. Price. As you would expect from a charter airline Lufthansa ticket prices aren't to be had at a rock bottom price. The cheapest I've paid is £106 return and the most expensive was £150. Prices don't seem to differ much month by month it seems to depend mostly on the day of travel. Service. Lufthansa have an easy to use website where you can check in and choose your seat for no extra charge. Boarding passes can be printed at home, emailed to your phone, or collected at the airport either by using the machine or check in staff .If you're an iPhone user boarding passes can be added to your passbook app which I have used twice and it works very well, when ever the boarding pass is needed you simply scan the screen on your phone, one less piece of paper to loose. A selection of German and English newspapers are available at the gate free of charge which is a small token but it helps pass the time once on board. The route that I fly has always been serviced by an Airbus A319 all of which have had nice modern interiors and a fair amount of legroom (I'm 6.1.) Lunch onboard is included in the ticket price generally there are two choices, a meat or cheese sandwich, fruit or cake, chocolate and a mint. All of which are small but tastes good especially the salami sandwich! Drinks are also included with a choice of wine, beer, coffee, tea and soft drinks. The cabin crew can be hit or miss as I suppose with any airline. Sometimes the staff can be a little cold and unfriendly. I've never experienced a great level of cabin crew service on my flights, compared to BA, Monarch, Fly Be and last of all KLM who I used to fly with regularly, they have fantastic service. Punctuality is spot on generally I've arrived early at our destination and have never been late or delayed. Overall they are a dependable airline (if you don't get caught up in the numerous strikes), prices are in line with most charter airlines sadly cabin service isn't.

        A joy to fly with

Having flown with Lufthansa numerous times I must say they have never fell short of impressive, even when it comes to plain old economy (or coach) class. With Lufthansa being such a major airline they have gotten their act down, from customer service at the check in to the on board amenities. The last time I have flown with Lufthansa was on August of 2010. I walked into the Detroit Metro Wayne County airport full of dread. It was my husband and I, alone with three large luggage bags, two backpacks, a purse, two cats in separate carries and our fully grown German Shepherd Dog in a huge crate. One of the airport valets came right up to us with a cart and helped us unload from a cab, then lead us to the front of the Lufthansa check in lines. Here we had to wait a while as the counters weren't open yet. Unlike those of South West, or Delta, the Lufthansa check in clerks were extremely polite. I was even missing some information and label stickers for my animals, the guy went in the back to look for them and apologized even though it was my fault. The same clerk also held one of our luggage bags on the side for us while we dealt with the TSA and the animals, so we could come back and put the dog's chain lead back into the luggage. The plane itself, even if we were only in the economy class, was quite decent. Everything was clean, (a standard you might think, but you'd be surprised) our seats waited with a blanket and a pillow each. The pillows, by the way, were great quality and worked lovely with the already built in headrest cushion. Our nine hour flight never fell short on drinks, snacks or full meals. We received one lunch/ dinner like meal shortly after the plane took off, as well as a full breakfast before arriving. The phone jacks and all of the audio and video equipment functioned well. There was ample choice of films, music, TV shows, music video collections, etc. so we were never bored, even without sleeping at all. While all of the flight attendants were extremely polite to us each time they came by (even after I accidentally turned on the call light for the third time without noticing), my husband said they gave him an attitude in the back when he asked whether he could have some plain water. He received already poured, flat mineral water instead. One gripe that I personally have is about their luggage crew. Too much unnecessary throwing of luggage goes on, but I suppose that is standard. They should have, however, took more care loading our animals into the plane. The luggage moving belt is on a pretty steep incline. They put my dogs cage so it rides backwards up the belt. Usually I wouldn't care, however, the dog tumbles backwards and while I wasn't too worried about the cage doors breaking open (a possibility!) he did hit the hard food and water bowls we were required to attach to the inside of the cage doors. So just a little bit of consideration could a long way. Overall the airline is great, this was my first time flying with animals, and they have been more than helpful. Considering this and my past experiences with Lufthansa I would definitely choose them again, as well as recommend them.

LUFTHANSA NIGHTMARE, Travelled in Dec 09 from London to Sao Paulo via Frankfurt with wife and 4 year old son. On the fight there double booked our seats and allocated my son's seat opposite side of plane. Had to wait an hour for everyone to board and another 40 minutes standing on the plane until we were given seats. Lost bags for 7 days when we got there. Way back they allocated my 4 old son a seat by himself again on both connecting flights. To make matters worse they still owe us £1000 refund that is outstanding for 6 months now. No tel number for them. Can only communicate by email which they choose to ignore. Now going to a small claims court.....

Wont completely write them off .. but very dissapointing!

Hmmm .. I used to think Lufthansa were great! im not so sure now. I have flown with lufthansa three times.. here are my experiances for each. Lufthansa to Bangkok 2001= this was my firt flight with lufthansa and was a great experience, the plane was not full but i still only got one seat and the staff were extremely friendly and helpfull .. seats were comfy and we had personal televisions and radios along with two very nice meals. It was one of those flights where 11 or 12 hours felt like about 5 .. 5 stars for this! Lufthansa to Frankfurt 2008= This was a small plane which was carrying mostly business men, the plane was fittid out with large leather seats which were so comfortable i fell asleep which is a rarity for me on flights. The staff again were great and flights were on time, no food was served but it was such a short flight .. 4 stars for this! Lufthansa to Johannesburg 2009 = This was one of the worst flights i have experianced, after my flight in 2001 i expected a nice up to date plane but behold it looked like it was about to fall apart. ripped cramped seats, very rude german hosteses that only liked you if u were german, one tv about 15ft away that had a program on in japanese and cold curry for dinner .. and all this on a 10 hour flight .. most dissapointed! it was as if they just didnt care, it was such a shame as i could have flown BA for the same price who i know have a good south african service but i opted for Lufthansa due to them being good before ... 1 star this time!!! Just to finish off i did have an airmiles account with lufthansa and was only a few thousand miles of getting a free return flight .. until my account number stopped working and instead of getting any help i was told just to open a new account and start collecting miles from scratch. Dont think i will bother with them again even after two very good flights .. come on lufthansa you obviously have it in you!!

Lovely to travel when its not no frills

In these days of cheap no thrills flights, it was for me a bit of a blast from the past when I travelled with Lufthansa to Graz from Manchester to Graz via Dusseldorff. You tend to forget about how flying should be, when you don't have to pay for everything its nice to get something for just the cost of the ticket. Now I've got to be honest, my tickets were bought by the univesity so lufthansa was the only option to get to Graz. Therefore when the tickets were through via email, it included food and refreshments. So getting to Manchester, well I booked in had to explain I was going on to Graz after landing at Dusselfdorf, it was explained to me that I would need a seperate boarding pass at Dusseldorf. This worried me but I need not have had any concern, the girl on the desk at Dusseldorf spoke perfect almost accentless English, she gave me a boarding pass after scanning my passport. This was whilst the place was busy with German travellers and only an hour before the flight was due to leave. The flights themselves were on planes with plenty on leg room, there wasn't the pressurised selling by the hostesses and after we'd got to a cuising altitude we were given a sandwich and a coffee, what more do you want really for a quick flight to Dussleldorf then onwards to Graz? The sandwich was fresh and the coffee hot, and if you wanted you could have another when she came back up the aisle. So my overall views on the service was a quick, efficient service, clean planes, hostesses with good english and it was nice to travel on a airline which wasn't no frills.

A cheap way to get to Germany on a scheduled airline.

I flew with my family from Heathrow to Frankfurt last week. Firstly, the on-line check-in is not perticularly user friendly. Once you have found the correct area of the website (which is not immediately obvious) you then are presented with 2 boxes for entering your details. It gives you a number of options such as the card number or booking reference but you need to click the drop down menu to choose. Again, this wasn't immediately obvious. Then, unlike BA's online check in, it doesn't automatically bring up all the names on your booking - only the lead passenger - so you have to identify each one individually. Finally, you can only do this a maximum of 23 hours before departure. So, this process is a bit clunky. The check-in area is in Terminal 1. It is tucked away from the main hall and is not a large area. There are a number of check in machines and about 8 desks put over for baggage drop. Due to the areas size we found unwieldy queues and were stood in one for about 20 mins just to drop off our bags. On boarding the aircraft we had the usual greeting and they gave my 2 kids a small activity pack which they quite liked. The aircraft seats were comfortable and clean with decent leg room (I'm 6'3"). The flight attendants were pleasant and announcements were made in both german and english. We got a free cheese sandwich which wasn't all that but filled a hole and a small bounty bar. They also serve free drinks and I had a bottle of Warsteiner which was nice and cold! As the flight had been delayed due to air traffic control, there were a number of passengers due to miss their connections. The attendants made arrangements and announced the changes over the PA as well as picking the individuals out on arrival. The plane was met by Lufthansa ground staff who escorted those people to their onward flights. All in all, the price was good (£110 pp return), the website leaves a bit to be desired, the check-in area was cramped and slightly chaotic, the on-board staff were pleasant and efficient rather than gushing, the food was basic but the beer was good and the aircraft was comfortable and clean.

              Recommneded airline

I am a regular traveller with work and have used Lufthansa numerous times over the last five years on European flights. Check in at both Manchester and Birmingham which I use most frequently is efficient with short queues. At Manchester the check in is hidden away down stairs in terminal one. I have never had any trouble with baggage it has always turned up on time. On the flights given the cost cutting that airlines are going through the free drinks and a sandwich are welcome. Level of service is as you would expect of our German friends efficient . The staff are always pleasant enough they do the job and are polite. Flight times are always convenient and generally quite punctual. The only word of warning is that if you are travelling through Frankfurt allow extra time as you have a long long walk via an underground tunnel or by the skytrain. Quite happy to recommend Lufty

              Advantages

              Disadvantages

I wont recommend anyone to travel in Lufthansa!

Lufthansa is a part of Aviation group and has been in existence from the last 78 years or so. But with all these years experience and reputation, I don't think their standard of service is at par with some of the other competing airlines. Experience- I used Lufthansa to fly recently to India since it had some offers then. This was the first time and was quite apprehensive as we generally opt Emirates to travel to India. Much to our thinking the whole experience was a disaster! My son was then 2 so he kind of understood what an aeroplane was and we hyped up the whole flying experience even before the journey- hoping that he would be comfortable in his 13 hours journey. We were expecting small TV screens in each seat as Emirates did- so we can choose the movie/ TV programme. But in the flight they just had 4 TV screens in the economy class- So we had to watch whatever they show. Although they had a big menu of programmes, we could not watch what we wanted. My son was so keen on watching Wall-e but they had one English and one bollywood movie for our whole journey- and then it would repeatedly show the flight status and the time to reach destination. Food- We could choose from 2 types of meal- veg or chicken. The food was average but the bread served with it was very hard. I remember Emirates had a different meal for the kids- they do give a complimentary lunch box or a small backpack with some soft toy and food stuff. But in Lufthansa there was no such thing as kid's gifts! I know it's complimentary but no harm in expecting something in return for paying 2/3rd of adult fare for a 2 year old child who wouldn't even sit in his seat!!! Staff- One steward was very helpful and he generously gave my son drinks and snacks when he asked for them. But on our return journey, the staffs were pretty annoying too. I had to buzz 3 times to get attention for a glass of water! Frankfurt airport- This airport is not designed for someone with a weak foot/leg. Our first flight dropped us at one part of the airport and the connecting flight was around a mile away. The direction board was just pointing to the next passage and every time you are there, you had to walk for some distance again. It became very tedious for us to go around this airport especially with our child and luggage. I did see some small wagons that take passengers from one point to another but there were no one to drive it around. I like the Dubai airport where everything is in visible and walkable distance and with so many shops around you don't even feel the distance walked. Miles and more- The Lufthansa's loyalty scheme of collecting miles every time we travel to get a rewarding flight is probably not my cup of tea. Although I signed up for it well in advance before the journey but after I travelled I decided I won't be using it again. The whole experience- both onwards and return journey- was so miserable that I and my husband swore that we would never ever travel in Lufthansa again.

                Advantages

                Disadvantages

A good efficient service, an airline I would have no qualms about flying with again.

Such is the strange nature of air travel I recently flew to Barcelona in Spain from London England, via Milan in Italy on a German airline - go figure! I booked on-line with Expedia and the cheapest option at the time to be able to fly from Heathrow was with Lufthansa via Milan, but that was okay with me and considerably cheaper than a direct flight would have been. Apparently this route is fairly new and part of a new 'Lufthansa Italia' branding and cost me £140 return, economy class, including taxes. I'd not flown with Lufthansa before and was looking forward to seeing the famous German efficiency in action - I wasn't disappointed. On arrival at terminal 2 at Heathrow the Lufthansa desks were clearly marked and staff were on hand to direct passengers to the check-in machines. No longer do you check in face-to-face with a real person, now a self service computer scans your passport for you, helps your select seats and prints boarding passes. To be honest I hadn't expected to be confronted with a machine (I don't fly often) and must have looked a bit bewildered because a Lufthansa assistant immediately stepped in and took over the procedure for me, getting the job done in next to no time. Boarding pass in hand I proceeded to the baggage check-in, made sure my suitcase didn't exceed the 20kg limit and within 10 minutes of arriving at the terminal I was on my way to passport control. All very efficient so far... The plane itself, an Airbus 319 branded 'Lufthansa Italia' throughout, had three seats either side of the aisle and was comfortable, clean and importantly had plenty of leg room. No sooner had I sat down than the stewards were up and down the aisles giving out firstly complimentary Italian newspapers and then refreshment towels. Once the plane eventually took off (half and hour late due to baggage delays) the service continued with food and drinks (including alcoholic) being offered. Food was of the snack variety, a yoghurt, pastry, chocolate bar and then later another cake and I was quite impressed at the level of service, although wouldn't recommend drinking the tea made with half crème instead of milk - it was horrid. Despite the delayed take-off the flight arrived in Milan on time. Still very efficient... Things then got a little surreal... I had about forty minutes to transfer to the onward flight to Barcelona. A little bus took me to the terminal, where I rushed through passport control and walked/ran what felt like the entire length of the terminal building to the departure gate making it just in time to catch the little bus to take me out to, yep you guessed it, the very same plane I had just gotten off, even the same crew and pilot. So after forty minutes of frantic rushing about I had effectively moved forward eight seats in the plane! I realise that it's the way things have to be done, the plane needed to be cleaned, refuelled etc, but it did feel a little weird :-) The second leg of the journey was as good as the first with more refreshment towels, food and drinks being brought round. The cabin crew couldn't be faulted all spoke English well (as well as German and Italian) and overall the journey was as pleasant as it could have been for a short economy flight. On arrival at Barcelona I found that my suitcase had been damaged with one of the handles been broken off, not strictly speaking the fault of Lufthansa as their baggage handling was done by Swissport, and this sort of thing can happen with any airline. However for the sake of completeness I will mention that I filed a report at the airport and then contacted Lufthansa by phone when back home. They took all the details of the suitcase and immediately agreed to send out a new replacement one. I was very happy with this service. A couple of things to note on the journey home, at Barcelona airport there were no Lufthansa staff on hand to help with the check-in machines, but they were actually very easy to use with multi-language step by step instructions. The flights home to London (again via Milan) were not even half full so the stewards went up down offering drinks three times (perhaps they were bored), and yes there were some passengers having three bottles of beer on a 9.30am flight!!

                  Decent airline experience

My experience of Lufthansa was on a trip to Turkey. Both legs involved a changeover in Germany, at Frankfurt and Munich respectively. My overall impression was pretty good. Historically I have flown Turkish Airlines and BA on these routes, and I would certainly consider this route again even though it is not direct. The aeroplanes themselves were clean and neat inside, although it looked from the outside of the plane as if it had been around a while it shows they have spent money keeping them in decent condition. The staff were friendly and efficient. The inflight food was alright, apart from the sandwiches which were very dry (quite typical of German ones to be honest). Legroom was no worse than the other airlines. The changeovers in Germany were pleasant and hassle-free, so although it lengthens the trip the cost saving made it a decent trade-off. Both airports were modern, with enough space and facilities for everyone and more besides. Flights were on time and boarding smooth. My main disappointment came right at the beginning of the trip. They had an automatic check-in that was meant to scan passports and issue boarding passes. This totally failed to work, printed out once boarding pass and then displayed error messages. The one staff member present was attending to someone else so I had to wait around for a while to get it fixed, which was quite a stressful experience. So in summary, I would fly Turkish Airlines by preference (new planes), then Lufthansa (decent but not direct), but would avoid BA at all costs (appalling customer service ethos).

                  I'd recommend Lufthansa to anyone

The last time I flew with Lufthansa was back in 2005, but it was a much better experience than any I have had with Aeroflot. The coach I was taking to Heathrow had a technical problem, and when I called Lufthansa to advise them, they were great: they said just get here as soon as you can, and we'll get you on the next flight (I was travelling via Frankfurt to Moscow with them). Fortunately, I was able to make my original flight, and that was great: we left on time (usual German efficiency), a little delay as we had to wait for 30 minutes on taxiing, but luckily, the gate for my Lufthansa Frankfurt-Moscow flight was only a few minutes walk from where the London one had arrived. The seat was comfortable, food was nice (including a carrot cake portion for dessert - yummy!), staff were friendly, and even tolerated my awful attempts at German! Coming back was just as good, no problems at all to report. It's a pity they have to use Terminal 2 at Heathow, which I'll leave for another review later!

                  -

I have recently been away on business for a meeting at one of our German offices. This meant flying into Frankfurt Airport, in order to get the best of my time and fit in with other meetings and business I flew from Manchester by BA and intended to fly back by Lufthansa. I have done the journey before and generally I had an ambivalent attitude towards Lufthansa. They were neither particularly good and yet there was nothing specifically bad or annoying about them. That is, until my flights last week. Now many people may not be aware that Lufthansa are presently going through a number of pilots strikes. I certainly was not aware until I got to our offices in Mainz and they said that these strikes were happening every Thursday. I was due to fly back 22:20 by Lufthansa. There was then a huge amount of confusion as to whether the flight would run. The agents initially said yes, then no, then yes. On this basis we went to Frankfurt Airport to get the flight. The pilots strike was apparently due to a demand by the pilots for a wage increase of 30%. Now I do not have all the facts to make a fully reasoned judgement on this but I would hazard guessing that Lufthansa pilots are not on the breadline. To make such a demand appears unreasonable. However the problem that I have with Lufthansa is not due to their internal problems but how they deal with them with the public that is, the passengers, that is, me. The cancellation of the flight was confirmed when we arrived at the airport and it soon became clear that all possible alternative flights were fully booked and I would have to spend the night in Frankfurt. The problem was that Lufthansa would not pay for our hotel although clearly the need to spend the night there was their fault. The detail they fixed on was that we had flown out by BA and only my return was with Lufthansa. Personally I found this decision absurd and perverse. Not only this but Lufthansa would not even help me find a hotel and then when I did try found that Lufthansa had block booked hundreds of hotel rooms on the basis that passengers booked with them might need them They would not even release a room to me to pay for myself. The attitude of Lufthansa was astonishing. Their staff were completely unhelpful and appear incapable of showing any common sense or flexibility. They do not seem capable of or willing to follow a reasonable argument. I transferred my ticket back to BA as I have no intention of flying with Lufthansa again. I did eventually find a hotel and returned by BA the following day. My suggestion would be, if you have an alternative to Lufthansa, use them.

I think you need to fly with them a lot to really appreciate what they've got to offer

I have only flown on Lufthansa Regional jets, apart from 2 flights with Lufthansa to Venice and back to Frankfurt. They operate a very tight ship (or plane as you could say). The flights out of Düsseldorf are almost always on time, if not, delayed by perhaps 10-20 minutes. The flights into Düsseldorf are almost always early, even if you get delayed at a UK airport! (This is quite odd actually.) The planes themselves are very clean and tidy. The stewards/esses are perhaps the best feature to remark upon here, they will almost always offer me more drinks, ask me how I'm doing, just nice, personal things to add that little extra to your flight. They provide free food + drink on all flights, doing very nice little rolls on the Regional jets. You are generally looked after in most aspects. The in-flight entertainment is the downside though. There is almost nothing provided for short haul flights (Okay, so that is fairly justifiable, but it would be nice if they did.), so I just take my laptop for watching a movie or catching up on work. Overall, they are a very good airline and deserve the national carrier status they have got. Their service is brilliant and personal. The only thing that could be improved is the entertainment. But that is minor anyway, for short haul.

We made a big mistake choosing to fly Lufthansa

When booking our flights to India, we usually book a direct service. However, this time we thought we'd book Lufthansa via Frankfurt as the tickets were only £340 return, a massive saving. Anyways, we got to Heathrow airport, check in was quick and easy and we got on the plane. The flight was good, the seats were comfortable. Everything was going well. They served us a quick snack and soon after we landed. At Frankfurt Airport, the connection was short and there was enough time to browse through the duty free, have a drink and a snack, before we were on the plane. When we got onto the plane to Delhi, we were a little surprised as the seats didn't have personal tv's which is seen on most long-haul flights. There was a tv at the front, so I was a little disappointed as I was looking forward to a flight of watching movies. Anyways, it wasn't too bad. We watched a Hindi film and I managed to see the English subtitles, though the German film that they showed before was awful. The good thing is one can watch the film in German or English. The majority of the passengers were not German so that was good. At Delhi, we waited ages for our bags so that was the downfall of the flight. My Father who came a few days later lost his luggage, so we were a little disappointed with their service. Things got worse on the return flight, it said that the Lufthansa flight from Frankfurt was delayed, once we had checked in we were told that the plane had not even left Frankfurt yet, so we would have to wait at least seven hours. Anyways, it was late at night, we were depressed and determined to go on a flight. Lufthansa didn't even give us money or put us up in a hotel. They gave us a bit of food and that was it. I slept a little bit, but its difficult when your sleeping on chairs. At around 7 am we were sent to the gate where we waited for the plane. We got on the plane and didn't leave till about 8:30 am. The flight was dull, the breakfast they gave was below average (eggs for breakfast). It was terrible! The English movie they showed was boring, and I was even more determined to get back to London. We missed our connecting flight so we were booked on an afternoon flight to London. We got to go to the Frankfurt business class lounge, which was nice. We had free snacks, free everything. However, I felt that I couldn't appreciate it because I was tired, bored and felt dirty. I hadn't changed my clothes since around 10:00 am (Indian time) /6:30 am (German time). It was now around 1:00 pm (German time), so it'd been over 24 hours. It was disgusting! We were then told to go to the gate, we waited for ages. We chatted to a few people, a few people complained to the airline about the quality of their service. One of the staff was chewing gum. I mean, how unprofessional can you get? They, then took us onto a bus which was to take us to the plane. It took a while and then the German driver drove us back. We were then told that we were delayed. It was awful, we waited about an hour and a half before the plane actually came. At least, I got a lot of my A-level English book read. Airports are for reading! We couldn't go back to the business class lounge so in other words we were stuck. We got on the plane eventually, relieved and the short flight was good, but we were disappointed. Luckily, the bags at Heathrow came quite quickly so I was glad. However, we did wait a while for the taxi. We left our house in Delhi at 2:30 pm (Indian time), 10:00 am (British time) on Tuesday. We left for the airport at 9:30 pm (Indian time), 5:00 pm (British time). We reached our house in London at 2:00 am (Indian time), 9:30 pm (British time). It took over 24 hours, no shower, no change of clothes nothing. We picked Lufthansa because it was cheap. Well, it was cheap. I will never take an indirect flight to Delhi again, in case I have to. Never fly Lufthansa.
