Newest Review: ... got to be honest, my tickets were bought by the univesity so lufthansa was the only option to get to Graz. Therefore when the tickets were through via email, it included food and refreshments. So getting to Manchester, well I booked in had to explain I was going on to Graz after landing at Dusselfdorf, it was explained to me that I would need a seperate boarding pass at Dusseldorf. This worried me but I need not have had any concern, the girl on the desk at Dusseldorf spoke perfect almost accentless English, she gave me a boarding pass after scanning my passport. This was whilst the place was busy with German travellers and only an hour be... more

In these days of cheap no thrills flights, it was for me a bit of a blast from the past when I travelled with Lufthansa to Graz from Manchester to Graz via Dusseldorff. You tend to forget about how flying should be, when you don't have to pay for everything its nice to get something for just the cost of the ticket. Now I've got to be honest, my tickets were bought by the univesity so lufthansa was the only option to get to Graz. Therefore when the tickets were through via email, it included food and refreshments. Premium Review German efficiency but no personality. (387 words)

I flew with my family from Heathrow to Frankfurt last week. Firstly, the on-line check-in is not perticularly user friendly. Once you have found the correct area of the website (which is not immediately obvious) you then are presented with 2 boxes for entering your details. It gives you a number of options such as the card number or booking reference but you need to click the drop down menu to choose. Again, this wasn't immediately obvious. Then, unlike BA's online check in, it doesn't automatically bring up all the names on your booking - only the lead passenger - so you have to identify each one individually. Finally, you can only do this a maximum of 23 ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Lufthansa german efficiency (157 words)

I am a regular traveller with work and have used Lufthansa numerous times over the last five years on European flights. Check in at both Manchester and Birmingham which I use most frequently is efficient with short queues. At Manchester the check in is hidden away down stairs in terminal one. I have never had any trouble with baggage it has always turned up on time. On the flights given the cost cutting that airlines are going through the free drinks and a sandwich are welcome. Level of service is as you would expect of our German friends efficient . The staff are always pleasant enough they do the job and are polite. Flight times are always convenient and ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Lousy airlines with sub standard service. (567 words)

Lufthansa is a part of Aviation group and has been in existence from the last 78 years or so. But with all these years experience and reputation, I don't think their standard of service is at par with some of the other competing airlines. Experience- I used Lufthansa to fly recently to India since it had some offers then. This was the first time and was quite apprehensive as we generally opt Emirates to travel to India. Much to our thinking the whole experience was a disaster! My son was then 2 so he kind of understood what an aeroplane was and we hyped up the whole flying experience even before the journey- hoping that he would be comfortable in his 13 ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Lufthansa: A German/Italian partnership (760 words)

Such is the strange nature of air travel I recently flew to Barcelona in Spain from London England, via Milan in Italy on a German airline - go figure! I booked on-line with Expedia and the cheapest option at the time to be able to fly from Heathrow was with Lufthansa via Milan, but that was okay with me and considerably cheaper than a direct flight would have been. Apparently this route is fairly new and part of a new 'Lufthansa Italia' branding and cost me £140 return, economy class, including taxes. I'd not flown with Lufthansa before and was looking forward to seeing the famous German efficiency in action - I wasn't disappointed. On arrival at ...  Read the complete review
