waysider waysider Fair comments on the two airlines to Germany. Usually reason for hard landings is to reduce tyre wear and is deliberate. 21/06/01

zOOm zOOm platypus, it always depends. My first experience with Lufthansa was on a long-haul flight and I thought their service was one of the worst. But that was 4 years ago and only one flight. Hence I only wrote about my more regular experiences. Similarly I had two flights on British Midland and both times there was a drunk stewardess serving me and being very rude even in business class, but I am hoping that is the exception rather than the rule. :-) 03/06/01
platypus platypus I am surprised that you had such good treatment. Last September hubby found that on flights of under 4 hours, the only perks Lufthansa would give for a business class ticket were the wide seats. 31/05/01

spacey spacey I agree...a pretty reasonable airline. I used to travel around Europe a lot on business. The only airline that really stood out as being "avoid at all costs" was Iberia. There's probably an op in there somewhere, so I'd better not elaborate just now! ;) 12/05/01
