Advantages: In flight entertainment, friendly staff and quick service

Disadvantages: Food quatity seems to have become smaller

I have to admit, I am a fan of Malaysia Airlines. I recently discovered at the airport the other day that all their flight codes start with 'MH...' eg MH029 or something like that, and the MH stands for Malaysian Hospitality. Well regarding hospitality, I think they are excellent.

I tend to choose Malaysia Airlines when I go on long haul flights from the UK to Asia/Australia. I find their flights to be comfortable and trusted.

The cabin crew are very friendly, and I like the uniform they wear. I have always been served within a minute or two of pressing my light on and wanting some sort of assistance - and I think that is brilliant.

I read another review mentioning that the planes seem overcrowded - well to be honest, you can't really get an overcrowded plane! You can only have one person to every seat of course, and most if not all commercial airlines, have the same amount of seats in their economy class. While I don't think there is a lot of space, I do find the legroom and ability to extend your seat backwards adequate and comfortable enough.

The planes are always very clean when I board, and all the toilets I have used have remained fairly clean midflight.

The food is good, although I am not a fan of airplane meals anyway. The only problem I have of late is that the quantity seems to have gone down. The trays seem smaller and the main meal isn't really filling - but along with the starter, desert and bread they offer with the meal, it usually does the job.

The on flight entertainment system is excellent. I recently flew with the airline about two weeks ago, and was really impressed by the amount of entertainment they had available. At least 10 - 15 very recognisable/famous films, about 40-50 episodes from comedy and drama series, and lots of documentaries. As well as this there are games for the kids and many other bits and bobs on the system. It would be impossible not to find something you like on there.

Overall, I am very impressed with the service, and while I can understand that some people may have had problems with the airline, I fortunately haven't, and I would thoroughly recommend them for long haul flights.
