The best long-haul airline going. (Malaysia Airlines)

Advantages: Great service, good choice of entertainment

Disadvantages: I wish the planes would go faster to make my flight shorter!!

I can say without hesitation that Malaysia Airlines are by far the best airline that I have flown with. They welcome you on board with a genuine smile, and you are always looked after during the flight. I have used them mainly for the London to Kuala Lumpur route, which is 12 hours long. The cabin crew never show signs of tiredness or stress, despite the long flight, and will do everything they can to help you. Meals come as standard on the flight, and you can ask for a drink (free of charge) whenever you want one. You get a whopping 34 inches of leg room in economy, and a pillow and a blanket to help you get comfy. I was particularly chilly one flight so they gladly gave me another blanket to help keep me warm. I have been with other airlines where the service is nowhere near as good as Malaysia Airlines - you have to pay for meals and drinks (and they are NOT cheap!), the seats are cramped, the staff are unhelpful and take ages to come to you if you put your assistance light on. I know that Air Asia are now flying the same London - Kuala Lumpur route for a cheaper fare, but I would gladly pay the extra to fly with Malaysia Airlines as the service is outstanding.

Summary: No other airline I have been on has come close.
