Disadvantages: delays

Flew from Cardiff in June with Monarch to Sanford Fla. The flight was delayed four hours which was a pain. Eventually we got on our way and the legroom was great, it was an Airbus 333, if you are unlucky and get a 757 then there's not so much room.
The flight attendants were just superb, nothing was too much trouble for them, they were very friendly and attentive. The food was reasonable as far as airline food goes, beef in a red pepper sauce, not bad at all. The aircraft appeared fairly new and was clean and welcoming. Coming back we upgraded to premier for a small fee ($125.00 each) we had extra legroom (not that it was needed) seat back TV's, free drinks and an upgraded luggage allowance. They even came round with hot towels after the meal. To be honest I can't fault Monarch other than it's late departure. I have flown with them before to the USA and experienced no problems. The only disadvantage is that they fly into Sanford which is a dreadful airport to get through but that's not Monarch's fault. I can only say that the comfort and legroom is comparable to British Airways (I fly them regularly to Tampa) and the cost is nowhere near as much with Monarch.
I say, give them a try, they are by far the best of the charter flights and I would have no reservations about flying with them again.
