Disadvantages: Sometimes waits

hello all,

I have heard a lot of people taking a dislike to monarch airlines. Well i am 14 years old and this is the first time i have flown before.

We where flying out from Manchester to Almeria.

When we first arived at Manchester airport it was about 4:00 AM, so the airport was pretty empty, the lady at the check in desk for Monach was very nice and she even made a joke and made us feel very welcome. We then went through security who have nothing to do with Monach ut where still very nice. The it was just a case of waiting for the screen to say that ou plane was boarding. When monach started boarding we went to the terminal and 5 minutes after we arrived they where calling out seat numbers to board, I was infact the first person on the plane.

After about 45 minutes we where set to leave the airport, we lwft at the exact time that we where meant to. But as we left the captain told us that we would have to wait antoehr 10 minutes because there where 2 people who had not turned up for the flight so they had to remove there luggage from the cargo (for security reasons) so the delay was not Monachs fault at all. Then as we had to wait we missed out place in the air so we had to wait another 20 minutes to get another place in the air. After that we found a place in the air and as we where about to taxi onto the runway the captain said that we had to turn back and refule as we had to fly lower because we missed out place in the air and flying lower meant that we would use more fuel. So we went back and refueld which took another 30 minutes. This problem again was not Monachs fault, but the towers fault as they failed to tell the piolot that we had to fly lower.

After all these problems we where 2 hours delayed. Everyone appologized and we then had a nice smooth take off. Meals where served and there was onboard entertainment. The food was good and they continued to ask if we wanted out drinks topping up. Everyone there was so nice. The flight was very safe and very good. I am 6 foot 1 and i had enough leg room so i dont understand what everyone was moaning about.

The landing was very good and it was all very safe,so WELL DONE MONACH

Summary: Amazing airline, all people can moan about is the waiting time and delays, but its safe and friendly
