I am disgusted by MONARCH saying they will be charging for ALL hold baggage you were different before never the cheapest but I paid extra for the service you gave.
I will not be using you again (after my existing bookings have been used)and I hope and feel sure your other regular passengers will do the same then you may reconsider when your flights are empty.
Try asking customers what they think first before making these suicidal decisions.
I can get flights with Ryan Air for 1 euro plus taxes why should I pay £130 to fly with you with charge for legroom charge for food and now charge for hold baggage I hope this makes you go bust it is what you deserve.
Please pass this to who ever came up with this stupid idea.

Following a recent review of our pricing policy, we are writing to inform you that we will shortly be implementing a charge for the carriage of hold baggage on board scheduled flights with Monarch. The charge will apply to all bookings made from 19th September 2007 for flights departing from 1st November 2007 onwards.

As an airline we incur baggage handling costs for hold baggage and it is now common practice amongst airlines to charge for hold baggage, in order to keep flight prices as low as possible.

Summary: IF WE ALL STAND FIRM, AND MONARCH END UP WITH EMPTY FLIGHTS THEY MAY RETHINK THIS ADDITIONAL RIP OFF
